He did not want to discuss the subject further.

I have a clue. I also have a respect for other people.

You what? I meant having a clue about what this person meant when they said they didn't trust the SNP to respect the outcome of the vote, about which you have already said you don't have a clue. What that has to do with respect for other people if beyond me.

i can understand not wanting to discuss the subject - i myself have done my best to avoid it - but it seems odd to me to make a statement like that but refuse point blank to explain what is meant.

Good grief.

Better Together can't even be bothered to send speakers to meetings who understand such basic concepts as GDP. Here their speaker is up against Nichola Sturgeon, who just sits back and lets the BT speaker, Cat Headley, tie herself in knots.

It shows a lack of respect for those attending the meeting that the speakers BT sends are unable to understand the claims being made in the material they provided to the audience.

There was a debate at Inverurie yesterday.

“It confirms that undecided voters tend to become ‘Yes’ voters once they have a chance to get the facts on independence for themselves. There’s all to play for in September’s Scotland-wide vote but this is just another indication that in Ellon as in everywhere else, the momentum is firmly with those seeking a ‘Yes’ vote.”

Dear, dear Scotties, please, pretty please, vote yes,, although we English know perfectly well that you don't have the guts to vote yes – nor will you. It has to be said that were the Scotch to vote yes your servant here present would crack open a bottle of champagne to celebrate the end of any possibility of that ever ever being a Labour government in England.

However, the chances that the Scotch will vote yes or about one in 50 billion million trillion gazillion – or in English, those of a snowball in hell. One is a little puzzled that anyone at all could even imagine in their wildest dreams that the Scotch my vote yes – the bookies certainly don't – and I have never met or seen a poor bookie.

From comments page Independent yesterday, It's enough to bring a tear to a gless 'aye'.

I've yet to find a bookie round here who will give odds on the vote being really close - I specified less than 100 votes either way - or on the vote being tied.

The debate tonight is going to be show trial. Probably won't watch it. You know the headlines tomorrow regardless of what happens.

People in the Borders couldn't watch the last one.

The STV Player "crashed due to unprecedented international demand".

Basically, me in Cork swearing at a laptop.
