Will you Make Pancakes on Shrove Tuesday?

I love pancakes, we have savoury ones and sweet. Will probably so fish ones with loads of cheese sauce and just make up loads for pud to have with lemon and sugar and nutella.:D

I thought it was just in the UK that we munch our way through stodgy pancakes while the rest of the world are getting trollied in fancy dress and shagging each other senseless. It's reassuring to know that Australians are just as boring as us and in exactly the same way.

yeah, we are lame, aren't we :p

but I'll be doing it nonetheless. Some with lemon and sugar, argie mrs.L_S might insist on others being dulce de leche.

Oh yes. I am planning some blueberry syrup and some kind of pear pancake thing.

I was going to make pancakes yesterday and ShiftyJunior said "Yeah, I love it when you make pancakes because you never finish yours and I get to eat 'em."

I once put some of my chai tea mix in the batter and it came out quite nice actually. How about some ground ginger? That could work...

Err, pancakes on are an English thing, not the UK. The traditional Scottish Shrove foodstuff is Feesty Cock.

I'd make some if i was home.

I'm off down the footy though. Doubt they'll be making any instead of burgers and hotdogs.

Yup, always have pancakes. I love pancake day!

Usual options in our house are:

- lemon & sugar,
- something with chocolate
- Golden Syrup (didn't have this foreign maple stuff in my day)

and for savoury I make a creamy mushroom thing, with cheese

this year, someone else is doing pancakes and I only have to go and eat. YUM.

My flatmate doesn't seem particularly interested so I'm off back to my parents'. I plan to pay attention this time as I'd like to be able to make pancakes for myself. Can't help thinking there will be quite a few disasters first though :D

I've volunteered to make them this year. How do I make 'em? Eggs, milk, flour, butter, and sugar?

I completely fucked them up last year - tried to make them in a very heavy, deep frying pan and measured my ingredients on cheapo scales that I later discovered completely lied. But this year we have a pan with a flip over lid thing for flipping pancakes (which I know is cheating, but it was a present) and some digital scales so I'm hoping for a return to form.
