Ok.. I now have the loan of a tent :D

Is anyone taking an airbed pump thingymebob? I'm thinking an airbed would be comfier than my 10yr old roll mat, but no point buying a pump if I can borrow one ;) :)

Now have a list of tasks for the week:
- make chilli & freeze
- make a cake/some cakes
- freeze some juice

should keep me busy and out of trouble :D

edit: and maybe some flapjacks too.

Yeah I will bring a pump. I scoffed at airbeds until I slept like a proverbial log on one last month.

Me too but I dont get on with airbeds so got a camp bed from Argos for £8.99!

Woo hoo....

As long as I get an egg, I shall be forgiving ;)

I just remembered (for I am in fact the one with the sieve-memory) that I did no such thing as tell Pieface that you were coming. I'm uncommunicative like that and am learning so much from her in the ways of opening my heart to the world

She is great and has taught me so much - she could bring about world peace if she wasn't so distractingly fabulous and inspirational.

PS - I love the Beatles :) Really :)

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i got my tickets.... yaaaaaaay

due to rubbish circumstances I've not reallymade it to anyother festival this summer. it is shocking.

am so looking forward to this one...

where is everybody thinking of camping? I'd like to camp with a few peeps since it'll just be me and my mate that I know going. I'd like to suggest way up the top

to the right of the Henry Beards cafe on the map... i've never been there before so others might have better suggestions. would it be wise to be near the campervan area for example?

Nice one :D

Think I'll just give people a bell when I get there, see where everyone is. Henry Beards looks quite close to the Family Area... might be some sreaming kids ;)

I've not been there either and would also like to camp socially (being on my todd). Generally with festivals it is best to avoid being too near toilets or busy thoroughfares and best not to be at the bottom of dips (flooding) or too near fences or hedges (urinals).

So perhaps the best bit of high ground away from the perimeter to the east of Henry Beard's Cafe. Does anyone have a flag/kite or some such?

Seeing as they won't be my screaming kids they will not bother me in the least :)

I don't know the site so I'm not fussed - we're bringing and putting up Gaijingirl's tent as well :D

Family camping was really quiet at Glasto, Bee - apart from one lovely little child called India who was really allowed to express herself too much. Fucking shrieked like a harpy starting at 7am every day. And threw something at my tent when I snapped and told her to shut up. Dumb fucking parents.....

yay! glad to hear it, crustychick! by the way, you have a TOTAL double in South London :)

really? coulda been my sister! whereabouts?

good idea to phone people... but what if other people that you don't have the phonenumber of are already there... and the ones you do have the phone number of are not there....

i always intend to make a flag but havent' done it in all my years of festival going!

I'm quite easy with children, and get on fine with them... it's just if you get a crier that won't stop... but then saying that with me and GG snoring it'll drown it out :D (I'll pack me ear plugs!)

okay, will try for a flag-making mission!

anyone who i dont' have numbers for wanna pm me with them?

(i am afraid of being all lost and alone!)

Is anyone going to be in touch with Zora? I think she'll want to camp up with you lot rather than with my two-year old niece.

I'll have a small child with me, (not known for screaming-generally very charming and easy going) but it's not him I'm worried about. It's his dad whose the noisy one...I'll have to ask him if he wants to camp in the family area or not. Personally, I don't think it 'd be a good idea to be too near Henry beards (although their food is very tasty, if a tad pricey) just 'cos of the amount of through traffic...

Aurora.. I'm not very experienced with little-people. Do two-year olds take much looking after?

Why don't we go nearer to the campervan side of the top field then?

..sounds good to me, 'cos actually, I'd forgotten about my blokes mate who'll be in his campervan...
(although they wont like me arranging things too much without talking to them first...)

Sorry if you've already said but, are you taking your niece then? Will you be soley responsible, or just helping out?

As I said earlier me & Mrs Chintz and two ickkle chinzs are going ( just for the day on sat) any tips on how to recognize the Urban Massive, not a prolific poster on her as you can see but it would be nice to put faces to posts
