I'm South Wales, so that's easy for me. I think it's down to dates and getting a couple of commitments covered for me.Is S.Wales too far for Northern urbs? bmd, Part 2? Not sure where you are nogojones...
The place t0bytoo suggested looks good - cheap & near a pub - dunno about families mx wcfc but we can park up in a corner I guess? It's got toilets but no hook up Boudicca Llanthony Court Camping - Llanthony Camping. I'm also happy to go further north if that works for people. There are places like this that might fit the bill? Details and Reviews of Pentwyn Dingle Campsite, Three Cocks, Powys
I'm free from Mon 24th - Fri 28th. When is good for anyone else? My plan is to do a bit of a tour anyway - leave here on Monday; drive to urb meet then go on to Saunton or Welsh coast maybe. Somewhere I can er get in the sea anyway.
Or walk straight up the hill onto Offa's DykeFollow the road up from there in to the hills, once you get to Lord Hereford's Knob there is mucho excellent mushie picking to be found right now...
Gorgeous dog mate. Nice stretch of coast too. I spent a few years sailing up and down that area.Lovely weekend back in Weymouth/Portland; first time out this year. Going back to Saunton Sands in a couple of weeks...

I when through there once with a spinnaker up and 10 knots of tide behind me. Grinning. The Alderney race can be just as much fun.Looking out off Portland Bill thinking 'rather you than me frieda mate; the currents look terrifying out there'.
Actually saw the tide race late Sunday morning. Was quite something to see; never seen anything quite like it tbh - though it was tiny compared to big swells. Did some reading after and saw it described as ‘the most dangerous extended area of broken water in the English Channel. Quite substantial vessels drawn into it have been known to disappear without trace.’ (A sighting of the tide race off Portland... © Robin Stott cc-by-sa/2.0)

Not a bad break down the road from there at Kimmeridge bay. Biggest wave there one winter. It really is a nice coast. What do you call the handsome beast?
Has your brother got his own tent/van? I dont really want to go out on my own, but all my friends are such princesses that I would end up sleeping in the awning, which defeats the whole point of having a van.Anyone been mucking about? Me, the dog and my brother had a week or so of trying to find sun in France. Just drifted south basically; nothing booked but easy enough to find a pitch/overnight somewhere. Best cheapo addition this year: tarp to keep fridge/boxes dry outside.

Boudicca's got a brilliant Berlingo set up.A Citroën Berlingo with a rock n roll bed in the back has accidentallied its way into the Voley household. Just been kitting it out with blinds etc
A 'micro-camper', it's called. I think you'd be pushed to find much room left over if you went for the full table and chairs set-up, myself, so we just went for the bed / bit of storage option.
Anyhow, drive down from Retford was fine. Going to do our first overnight at the top of Pedn Vounder beach this weekend. Should be a laugh.
There’s a bloke on the festival circuit who had a Berlingo. He customised it to accommodate both himself and his double bass. I think I've decided against leisure batt/solar etc. I've got a couple of power banks that can charge phones/laptop for 3 days or so. Then recharge when I'm on EHU or in a pub. There’s a bloke on the festival circuit who had a Berlingo. He customised it to accommodate both himself and his double bass. It looked like a tight fit.
Sadly his died recently.
Assuming you won’t have room for a proper leisure battery it might be worth getting a small solar panel set up to keep phones etc topped up.
