You can use one or other layer, or both, and thus get three levels of thickness, for the different seasons. And you can wash it at home.

Well, it depends - are you sensitive enough to feel polyester through a cotton duvet cover ?

Also, it's worth considering using two duvet covers, one inside the other, to slow down the inevitable soiling of the duvet.

Well, it depends - are you sensitive enough to feel polyester through a cotton duvet cover ?

Also, it's worth considering using two duvet covers, one inside the other, to slow down the inevitable soiling of the duvet.

It was more about the alleged breathability, softness and extra warmth / sweatiness.
