What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I'm scared to eat any more of the chilli. About to put a jumper on over my pjs and take it out to the cats and dogs that live around here.
 
I'd love to be able to go out and ID, pick and eat mild mushrooms, but I don't think I'd ever trust myself to do it.
Yeah, that would be cool. You get quite a few round these parts. Like most people I know, my knowledge starts and ends with liberty caps.

I've just googled mushroom foraging courses near me and there's a 1 day course coming up in a couple of weeks.
£75 though, I'm not sure I can find the cash this year :(
 
I'm making a spicy sausage and chorizo pasta sauce tonight with onions, peppers, jalapenos, cherry tomatoes and courgettes. Linguini with it, I think. Tescos had chorizo on three for the price of two and sausages were £2.50 for a dozen so I've stocked up.

I want this. :mad:

It's National Day here today and it's properly raining which makes me reluctant to go outside and see if the shops are open, so we're having stuff, cobbled together. :hmm: I am soaking some azuki beans, we also have some sweet corn in the freezer, a couple of tins of chopped tomatoes, a bag of puffy tofu cubes, and six long green chillies. I'm sure it'll be lovely. :cool:
 
Either veggy stir fry with noodles or a thing I made up when I wanted chorizo hash but didn't have potatoes or chorizo. Its made of chopped up bacon
fried up with onions, peppers, chilli, garlic, ginger, smoked paprika, cumin, salt and pepper and a can of black beans. Served with or without egg depending on how hungry and if feeding one or two ppl. Topped with a bit of coriander, if I've got some in.
 
Just stuffed meself with more leftover chilli - and da da DAAAA - reheated rice :eek:

Anyway, fella's off to rehearsal tonight, so it's a quick tea of pesto pasta, sundried toms, black olives, and parmesan :cool:
