What's for tea tonight? (#8)

still uninspired. Glad to see I'm not the only one. I blame the crap weather.
I've got veggie sausages tonight, baked beans, and roasted parsnips (pretending to be chips). And odd bits of veg on the side. Not in the mood for any of that though

It wasn't bad in the end. Better than the endless amounts of pasta I was eating last week! I made the baked beans more tasty and interesting by adding chopped garlic and mushroom and roasted some cherry tomatoes with the sausages. I also only had one vegeterian sausage left, so I had one 'real' sausage as well.

:D
I used to work in a Doc Martens shop in Smelly Alley. Back when it really was all fishmongers and tie-dye.

Going to Reading was a big day out for me as a teenager so I could go and buy shit long tie dye skirts with mirrors on  :D

Anyway, penne arabiatta and salad tonight :)

Anyway. *cough*. Yeah.

Home-made vegetable soup tonight. We're going to a cheese and wine tasting tomorrow, I need something healthful and good today.

Are they squished into a quesadilla shape or do you eat them with tortillas?

I didn't end up making them in the end cos there was hardly any iceberg left so will make later instead (and get plain flour today!).

Last time I served them in pittas, but I find them so fiddly they enrage me, so am gonna put the chickpeas/lemon juice/shredded salad/garlic mayo into seeded tortillas this time, and just fold over like a quesadilla/pasty sorta thing. :)

On a nasty note: never ever eat a marmite butty after eating key lime pie. It makes for, err, explosive bum action in the night :( Some kind of weird fucking reaction which I'd rather not experience again :( Thought I was gonna shit meself out of existence.

I had salmon instead of steak last night. Still did the garlic mushrooms but had some tatties to use up so did some chips in the oven. More like wedges, but chip shaped :D

leftovers grazing with mashed spuds with herbs, cold roast beef with rosemary, boiled eggs, beetroot, and a Mediterranean salad with lettuce, tomatoes, olive oil, balsamic, avocado and toasted pinenuts.

Baked gammon with garlic and onion mash, green beans, broccoli and gravy.
Yoghurt, banana cake and almonds for pudding. Not all at once though.

Last night we had spanish stew with chicken and chickpeas, served with brown rice. Tonight... I dunno. We're meant to be eating with Mr Yu's boss, but I'm not sure about cooking for him. Last time he critiqued my cooking and shut me in the kitchen. :hmm: So maybe a local restaurant.

That sounds very rude. Maybe invite him round and cook him a nice meat pie. With pedigree chum. ;)

Won't do him any harm (dog food has to be fit for human consumption I gather), although he might start barking and cocking his leg against lamp posts on his way home. :D

Saw a lovely piece of Rump yesterday so had to do a roast. Nice and pink in the middle, proper gravy, tatties, steamed broccoli and cabbage, roasted garlic and the gf made superb Yorkshire puddings. Happy, happy, happy.
