What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Chilli made with steak instead of mince, nachos, guacamole and sour cream.

Sounds good.

I am still undecided. Not hungry now so not giving it much thought. Perhaps a curry from Khan's in Brixton might hit the spot.

Still suffering with the bronchitis/chest infection. Didn't help that I drove to Hebden Bridge yesterday, drank, smoked, danced, and stayed up til stupid o'clock.

So erm, in light of that stupidity, I aim to drink again later and then have a fucking MASSIVE takeaway curry

Curious starting point for a meal. Homemade wedges or frozen?
In the end, there was mince with kidney beans (and various other things simmered together) to go with the wedges. But the reason for starting with the wedges is that they rule out using the oven for anything else (as well as wanting to use up some of the spuds).

Rice, stir fry veg with pickled ginger and soy and some chicken wings which I marinaded for about 36 hours in the fridge. The marinade had a base of shop bought sweet mango & chilli sauce to which I added garlic and walnut oil and then bunged in a hot oven.

Have eaten takeaway (well delivery actually) curry for two days now and thoroughly enjoyed it too. Hurrah for Gousia and their too tempting by half menu.

Making a massive hearty pot of sausage casserole today to make vague amends. That and the fact that I've got a load of sausages in the freezer, plenty of veg to use up and no inclination to go anywhere in this filthy weather. Do need to go to the allotment shortly mind, so I'll be hunkering down to bangers later.

I've not entirely stayed out of the kitchen this weekend. Made another big batch of chipotle en adobo (puree) yesterday, changing a few ingredients and tightening up the recipe a little. Seems fine so far.
