What's for tea tonight? (#8)

That's suberb.

I don't think I've ever got to a point where I've thought "I've had enough roast dinners recently, I don't want another one"
Bloody love it! And you've reminded me that I bought a swede cheap somewhere and that needs to be used - roast or mashed is excellent.
Got a chicken on order which I will roast completely plain at the weekend and share with the kittens.
Working in a pub or restaurant in the month before Christmas can put you off roast dinners.
I've not had to do it recently but it can be pretty soul destroying.

It took me 90 mins start to finish and I ended up with a pile of washing up but I made enough for 3 or 4 meals.

Oh for sure, before Covid N used to work in restaurants (KP/kitchen assistant/low level chef type stuff) and I was a bit worried he'd go off roast spuds after a number of Sunday lunch shifts!

Roast dinners aren't that long to prep or cook (unless you're feeding a large number and have a joint or bird that needs a long cooking time, even then it doesn't need much doing to it, just bung it in and leave it to cook and remember to put the other components in the oven at the right timings) but the washing up from it is hell 😱

Spaghetti is cooked sat resting in the sauce and meatballs. Not ready for it yet. Bunged up nasally and my ears are knackered and having to have stereo turned quite a bit up more than usual so i can hear it.

It made a great breakfast this morning.

I hope it's not covid, for some reason that always fucks my ears as a really early symptom before I start feeling unwell :(

We're having that ground peppercorn chicken curry again, we loved it last time. Having with chapattis.

I still have those melt in the middle chocolate puds so if I've room, one of those with Alpro chocolate dessert.

I just ordered a large takeaway and am already wanting food before it like a petulant, well me I suppose. Nearly added so much extra on the end like that would make it arrived immediately despite there being loads. Now I'm in the kitchen desperately trying not to eat leftover lasagne. I did last eat yesterday tho.
