What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Chicken and leek soup made from the stock and some of the leftover meat of yesterday's roast - blitzed some of the leftover parsnips in to thicken it, too (also to disguise them from my parsnip hating son :p ).
Magic banana and strawberry shakes for pudding.

Chicken Fahitas. All packet mix and stuff. Electric hob, crap frying pans and cooking a fair bit can lead to some pretty uninspiring texture to the chicken. So I wrapped in tin foil, seasoned it, baked it and then chopped it up and added it to the mix. Will certainly be doing that again. :)

I visit my parents on Tuesday. Dad had made a pretty awesome curry. We had it with pasta shells, because my Dad read something in the paper about reheated rice being a big no no, so he has taken agin it in a big way. :D
Got to say, pasta and curry is surprisingly good.

What are you going to see colacubes?

Fast day for me and I had a chicken tikka and cauliflower rice thing from m&s.

^^ That. Unfortunately I didn't think it was terribly good. I got slightly irritated by the lead male character who was basically a bit of a whingeing manchild :D Plus the acting wasn't brilliant. It was fine but I wouldn't recommend it. Shame because we've seen some other good stuff there. Fortunately at least it wasn't very long :D

Tonight I think we will have Shepherd's Pie as we have lamb mince in the freezer and some potatoes and carrots that need using up.

Laurence Fox though

Tonight's tea is lamb leg steaks (probably with a bit of harissa), mash, tenderstem broccoli and asparagus.
We've been eating our homegrown potatoes for months and they don't really lend themselves to mash so I don't think I've had mash since the spring. Looking forward to it
