What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Went out to a 'gastro' pub for a Sunday lunch. The pub has just re-opened after a refurb. It was very nice inside & busy but had plenty of space & staff.

I had a fig & dolcelatte nut roast with roast potatoes, yorkie, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage & kale with a honey & apple gravy. It was pretty good. I'm not a fan of a Sunday roast but craved one today. Had a large glass of red wine too.

The small one (who is having fishfingers, peas and sweetcorn for tea) decided he wanted a starter.

So I got together some melon, a couple of ham slices and some buttered French bread.

"It's nice Mummy but I don't like just butter on bread..."

So now he has melon, ham, bread and peanut butter #nicehealthymeal :D :D

Not sure, I have a big pot I haven't used that much of but it might be from when we were last looking for it. Definitely had this one a couple of years.
Ah, yeh it probably is the same. No worries. I've used all mine now.

Well, we will be on big fat chunky chips tonight, with mozzarella cheeseburgers and crunchy iceberg salad.

Then a nice slice of Victoria sponge cake for afters cos it was going for £1.50 in the co op

I could make something in the midst of taking everything out of the kitchen for 3 days building work. But I'm thinking this is ideal opportunity for the chip shop (whoop).

I have ordered healthy food for Tues/Wed. Have smoky Sri Lankan veggie balls & a sweet potato chilli from a friend who makes the food & brings it to you as his business. It's fab all freshly prepared with a weekly changing menu.

The last brazilian chicken drumstick, root mash from the co op reduced from 1.50 to 38p, nice tomatoes also from the co op and a mixed leaf salad. Apple and a nectarine for puddo.
