What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Home made calamari, roast veg focaccia, maple mayonnaise, raw root veg salad. And some hummous.

Somehow, nightmarish dressing-based politics came into play, alongside an abominable and inexcusable confusion over whether or not the focaccia was meant to be a starter or a main, all of which led to one of the foulest moods this house has seen in some months.

Calamari-tous, ay! Lol.

Our guest has just cried off, as she's unwell.

So we've got a great deal of fennel feta and pomegranate; "sort of Waldorf": kofte (bit too peppered) w/ pomegranate jam; butternut and red onion; rhubarb and apple crumble; and the hummous and raw root veg salad I haven't bothered to photo.

Won't have to worry about lunches this week, mind.

Thin sliced top rump dropped into an already sizzling pile of onion, garlic, fresh ginger, peppers and one small tomato
Stir in a big dollop of Masala Chilli sauce ( small cheat....)
Pour on top of the coconut rice
Have no idea what it supposed to be but it tastes ace

Yesterday was blackened red snapper with courgetti and boodles ( :D ).
My daughter is back from skiing :) so she got to choose out of a roast or fry up and she went with a fry up, so chipolatas, black pudding, bacon, mushrooms, scrambled egg, beans, toast and a couple of baby plum tomatoes, for health.
Thorntons chocolate brownie bites for pudding.

Having some vegan and vegetarian people round tonight. Doing a Sweet Potato and Lentil pie from Anna Jones. Sounds nice, although maybe not as good as an old fashioned Cottage one.

Pepper, chilli, onion, half a tin of butterbeans and tinned tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach, leek and cous cous. Will have a banana and an orange later.

Chicken curry, roughly Madras heat, I'd say. Just made it up as I went along and it's turned out well. Real convert to using butter not oil for curries now. Lots of fenugreek in this one as I haven't had Methi Chicken in ages and wanted to give it that sort of taste. Got enough for lunches at work as well as tea for a good few days.

Think this is supposed to be vegetarian curried sprouts Spanish style. Spanish really aren't into the hot spices. Not entirely sure what it is supposed to be. May go get a kebab later.
