What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Last night I did a pasta fiorentina and it was fucking delicious! Sometimes simple things are really great.

Probably the same again tonight.

The boy is making macaroni cheese in food tech today :hmm:
He won't be eating it because he doesn't like it so I suspect me and the bloke will be having it for tea, assuming that it makes it home and is edible.
The boy can have beans on toast.

I've taken some chilli out of the freezer as a back up.

The mac cheese was pretty good, with an excellent smooth sauce
There wasn't very much of it so we all had some with the chilli, a surprisingly good combination.

Tonight it's salmon with something for them an a 300 cal ready meal for me.

Glad to hear he did well :) And yes macaroni cheese does go excellently with chilli :D

I thought I'd add mushrooms to my runner beans and soup in place of grains - maybe a little garlic.
And lots of spinach ...

Butternut squash, sweet potato, spinach and mushroom curry with some macaroni that needed using up. A nectarine and an orange.

Late one tonight, zero energy left so salmon fillets with basmati rice and loads of spicy tomato relish with more beer for afters.

Boring shop-bought plain pizza, made ravishing with home-made aubergine bacon, mushrooms and olives.
Peaches with amaretto, slice of lemon cake.

Lamb saag.

I've had some lamb neck fillet marinating overnight in a mixture of onion, garlic, ginger, chilli, tumeric, ground coriander & garam masala.
It's gone in the slow cooker along with some cherry tomatoes and it'll sit there on low until I get in from work when I'll add a load of spinach and give it another couple of hours on low.

Rice and (shop bought) onion bhajis to go with it.

Last night was spaghetti in a crab sauce (Iberian range from Lidl, and delicious it is too, pinkish in colour). I added tuna, roasted peppers and fried onions. Couldnt help adding grated cheese at the end (Wexford vintage cheddar - this is the strongest in the range, and decadent as pecorino)

Will make Tuscan bean stew when i get home, got some savoy cabbage to add to it (bought for 39c last week, need to check if its usable).
