What you been doing for the last two hours? (pt4)

window shopping online. I like to think of it as 'recon'. :hmm:

I only realise after opening this thread exactly how many hours I have just wasted on the internet (it's normally more than 2). :(

Made cats, fed the coffee, Facebooked my sisters, now I'm lying in bed in the nip with a sleeping wife mumbling something in her sleep. It is totally nuts, for me, to be still in bed at this time of the day, it is a proper lie-in :)

Up at six, cup of tea and just been down to Brighton marina for a car boot. Got a jacket which I like (probably awful then) and a flight case. Off to Lewes car boot now :)

good call. think i'll go to the bootmarket myself today. probably not the same ones though...

I has carboot envy:mad: Why are they so impossible to get to by car normally? I am hungover and thought I had a piece of pizza downstairs but I ate it all last night:facepalm: Thank god for kettle chips.

most of them are only possible to get to by car ime?

there's one on the carpark 30 seconds from my front door - not the best one in the world, but always worth a look round. i found a unicycle there for 3 quid before xmas.

Heh :)

Picked up a bag of retro lunchbox snacks (12 Wagon Wheels for a quid) and some hot tomato chutney.

Lewes boot fair was a bit lame today, pretty damp morning though. Back now with sausages, bacon, boot fair eggs and mushrooms and fresh crusty bread. Not a bad morning all round :)

Have had and am having a wonderful morning, feeling real good, seems to be a lot of Love in the air, missus and I have had a real close and quality w/end together, since we finished work on Friday, so it feels realllllllllllll good.

I love the post-carboot fry-up-the best was when I had returned from Frome carboot in Somerset with loads of tat, veg, bread and home-made scrumpy:cool:

Feeling great, listening to some nice deep house.

Off to play some football with the youth in a minute, might pop to McDonalds for a treat with my £1.99 offer big mac and fries bus tickets!

Sweet.

Contributed to this bloody board

Eaten 3x Ryvita with phildelphia

Hung up some washing

Let the air out of my boiler pipe thing

Listened to the Shamen

Listened to some tunes, drank tea and thought about my finances (which didn't really take very long)

oh and looked outside at the lovely sunny day and thinking about what i might do this afternoon

Walked to Chailey Windmill (which was closed) and then through Chailey Common. When my dad said we were 'walking to the windmill' I assumed this was a quaint country pub :D but was nice nonetheless. Sun is lovely today, heading back to the city in a bit though.

Changed all the brake blocks on my bike and fitted a new tyre. Had a nice lunch with the boy, then went for a quick pootle to check for squeaks... none present :)

i've been doing my bit for Anglo/Polish relations :D

Now i'm going to get drunk and roll around on some grass for a while.

Just yerself on the grass or some more Anglo/Polish work?

I've been gently coaxing a woman in a horrendously violent relationship into coming to see me, via text, which is almost painfully slow but hey softly softly catchee monkey. It's work, in case you're interested.

Sounds interesting. What line of work are you in? (I'm interested ;) )

I'm a drug worker. Thing about working with vulnerable people is that once you've built a relationship with them they want to work with you, not be palmed off (sorry, sign-posted) to a 'relevant' agency. So I get to work with people with all sorts of problems. It's a great job, I love it. :)

What do you do?

Sounds like extremely challenging work (but potentially equal in reward) good for you :)

I'm a signmaker (the easiest, most common type stuff) Not the best job ever but its a means to an end, like most work i suppose

Just me, i've done enough for world peace for one day :D

Good luck with your work thing. Sounds like challenging is an understatement!

Signmaker!

Do you paint them or print them? I love typography. I might be wide of the mark with your job, if it's not really designy but I love that type of stuff. I do all the design for work. Just done a new logo for the Women's Community Project, which is quite good imo.

My job is challenging, which is what gets me out of bed. I love the clients and my colleagues are great and I work for a great charity so I'm pretty lucky really.

I could paint signs...but i don't. Its all printed, cut out vinyl, fabrication and what not. I work for a very small family firm so i get to see lot of jobs begining to end (as in i do all of it)
That wasn't a very good explanation was it
I love creating stuff and inovative ideas and solutions and what not and i used to draw and paint quite a bit. Unfortunately thats dropped off the last couple years and haven't really been able to get my head back into it for one reason and another :(
Ah well. sunny day innit :)

Designing a homework media project. Then having a bath to reward myself for finishing. But it was so hot that now I feel too drained to do anything. I am an idiot. Fact.
