I have been looking round the middle school with my youngest, chatting to my best friend on the phone, sorting laundry, discovering that my tumble drier is knackered, filling in online application forms for high schools and middle schools for my boys (when did they get old enough to leave first school? ) and writing a snotty email to the local council asking them to put their decision not to cut down the trees by my house in writing so that I had it handy in case one of the branches damaged my house or one of the children.

Now I'm going to clean the kitchen, put the little man to bed, browse the jobcentre site and have a bit of a sit down.
