Internet and a very brief visit to a party (I dont think it was sposed to be a party in the first place but apparently somebody brought round 4 cases of beer on offer)

Everyone was lary and I generally felt worried cos those lot get angry pissed so I buggered off. They were fuckin singin and stuff and it was only 9pm. Like bloody pogues I tell ya.

Going to the shops to get biscuits (chocolate chip and chocolate hobnobs).

Going on a really high ladder to retrieve some stuff from a shelf.

Getting pissed off with someone on Facebook

Listening to Nick Cave

Searching for art deco letterboxes and door numbers with which to decorate my front door.

I've been writing a stroppy email to the insurance company, cooking and eating tea and sleeping. I'm so tired lately I can barely function. :(

Been to Greenwich which was immensely annoying. All the secondhand bookshops have disappeared. Since I moved out it has really gone downhill.

Yup. :( The only places still open (aside from Waterstones and an everything-£2 one, that is) are Halcyon Books, opposite the station, and Greenwich Maritime Books, which has had to decamp to Royal Hill. Even Marcet Books closed down a few months ago. AFAIK rents have been shooting up, and it's made a lot of the smaller shops unviable. Word on the street is that Greenwich Hospital Trust wants the small shops gone so they can move in more high-paying cafe bars and turn the market area into flats. :(

Me, I've been eating dinner in a Wetherspoons and ambling round Truro.

I felt in need of some fresh air and exercise so I went for a ride on my bike along the river up to Tower Bridge, when I got to where the Gherkin is I saw they were rehearsing an outdoor play as part of the More London Free Festival, so I sat and watched that and very good it was too. It was called Petite Rouge: A Cajun Red Riding Hood and it's on from the 13th August until the 7th September, worth taking a look it you're in those parts

Walking back from swimming, popped into the supermarket. Made a cup of tea and made my tea.... Listened to some soul.

We had a girly trip to see Mamma Mia - loved it, loved it, loved it!

Although the teen was trying to pretend that one of my friends was her mum when I started singing along.

:D

Getting up, having a hot shower (I'm getting up this early more often if it means there's hot water! It's been nothing but cold showers for months), drinking really strong coffee with gold top milk in, eating TWO croissants, and watching South Park. The most banging way to start the day ever!

I've got the day off work today and should be spending it doing lovely things. But no, I've spent the last 3 hours cleaning my daughters room. I was supposed to be 'helping' but ended up doing all the work as usual.

However, while I was doing that I got lots of important phone calls made.

Quick sit down with a coffee and then it's time to start tea.

Striking gold in the documents I've been looking through  folowed by an hour or so's frantic typing to get as much transcribed as possible. Since then, sitting in about the only wi-fi cafe open after 5pm in Truro, drinking tea, sending emails and posting.

Drinking tea and reading a book that has much improved from its so-so beginnings, building to an exciting action-packed climax

finishing off my book but getting distracted with thoughts of things I should do today.
Paying some bills.

I cried because I couldn't find my keys this morning. I am still feeling very down today. For the last two hours I have been working glumly and then scrubbing my desk clean because I was fed up with it being so messy. Then I nearly cried because I tripped over a chair and knocked my mug over.

I would like to cheer up now please thank you.

That's perfectly legitimate!

I just made myself cry reading about a complete stranger's heart transplant  The joy of pregnant hormones.

awww, be not sad lovely ladies :)

may - how long to go now?

i just called the student loans company to sort out repaying my loan and they said i could take a one year non child care break :D i'd rather take a one year child care break though

Watching last nights eastenders, chatting to madamv, waking magic sam up by putting cats on him, taunting the cats, having a bath, doing make-up and getting dressed, cooking mince for cottage pie and toddler proofing my lounge. Pretty busy 2 hours really. Wonder if I've got time for a little nap. :hmm: ;)
