What stupid shit has Trump done today?

So, Manafort is living it up inside while he's waiting for trial for bank fraud, tax evasion, etc. And he's blithely phoning and emailing whomever he wishes as well.

Paul Manafort thinks he's being treated like a 'VIP' in jail, special counsel says - CNNPolitics

Manafort has had hundreds of phone calls to his lawyers and even more to others from jail and sent emails through his lawyers to outside contacts, special counsel Robert Mueller's team wrote in a new filing. Regarding how he's prepared for trial, prosecutors heard him say on a taped call that he's reviewed all evidence before his trial, met with his lawyers every day and has "all my files like I would at home," the filing says.
"On the monitored prison phone calls, Manafort has mentioned that he is being treated like a 'VIP'," the filing stated.
Prosecutors says he is being held in a private living unit larger than where other inmates stay that has its own bathroom, shower, telephone and workspace, and he has a laptop with an extension cord he can use daily in his room at Northern Neck Regional Jail in Warsaw, Virginia. Manafort doesn't have to wear a prison jumpsuit, the filing adds.
Manafort has even used a workaround, prosecutors allege, to send more emails than he's allowed on the laptop he has in jail. To send those extra emails, he "reads and composes emails on a second laptop that is shuttled in and out of the facility by his team. When the team takes the laptop from the jail, it reconnects to the internet and Manafort's emails are transmitted," the filing stated.

This info comes from Mueller's team listening into his calls, and is why they opposed his request to delay the trial because he didn't have sufficient time to prepare his defense. What a lot of bollocks. You can read their full account here.

Manafort's brazenness makes me suspect he's not for flipping, and is pretty sure he's not going to get done for any of this shit. Hope I'm wrong. Would like to see his gonads wedged inside a breeze block personally, but hey.

BBC TV News just now, the anchorman was repeating the idiot comments made by Trump towards Germany, and just as he passed it over to the reporter 'on the spot', said, 'well, this is going well so far'. :D

12 out of 10 for sarcasm.
Was it Simon McCoy? He's renowned for being sarcastic. (And that time he accidentally picked up a sheaf of paper instead of an iPad.)

In Nebraska juveniles in custody are only allowed to have two books in their possession at a time. Some kids have spent time in SHU for having more books than they're allowed. Kinda makes getting an education impossible. Contrast that to the above ^.

Hmm, so this is Trump's nominee for the soon to be vacant Supreme Court seat.

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh piled up credit card debt by purchasing Nationals tickets, White House says

Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh incurred tens of thousands of dollars of credit card debt buying baseball tickets over the past decade and at times reported liabilities that could have exceeded the value of his cash accounts and investment assets, according to a review of Kavanaugh’s financial disclosures and information provided by the White House.
Kavanaugh’s most recent financial disclosure forms reveal assets between $15,000 and $65,000, which would put him at the bottom of the financial ranking of justices, most of whom list well over $1 million in assets. The value of residences is not subject to disclosure, and Shah added that Kavanaugh has a government retirement account worth nearly half a million dollars that also was not required to be disclosed.
In 2016, Kavanaugh reported having between $60,000 to $200,000 in debt accrued over three credit cards and a personal loan. Each credit card held between $15,000 to $50,000 in debt, and a Thrift Savings Plan loan was between $15,000 to $50,000.
The credit card debts and loan were either paid off or fell below the reporting requirements in 2017, according to the filings, which do not require details on the nature or source of such payments.

So, this dude who not only didn't have the level of experience of folks previously considered for the Supreme Court also didn't have a comparable level of income, as he'd spent much of his career in the public sector. Seems to have spent much of the past decade in debt and without enough household income to clear debts. By 2016, he'd possibly racked up $200 k in credit card and loan debts . . . . which were mysteriously paid off last year, and he doesn't have to explain how that happened.

TRUMP: “Frankly, many countries owe us a tremendous amount of money for many years back, where they’re delinquent, as far as I’m concerned, because the United States has had to pay for them.

So if you go back 10 or 20 years, you’ll just add it all up. It’s massive amounts of money is owed.” — comments at meeting with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.

In a tweet Tuesday, he said: “Will they reimburse the U.S.?”

...

He has repeatedly claimed that because of his pressure “billions and billions of dollars are pouring in,” which is not true, because there is no such fund for money to pour into.

Fact check: Donald Trump says countries owe U.S. money for NATO spending

So, Donald Trump, I suppose it is about keeping within the parameters of the game Donald Trump plays, the pretense of legitimacy. How did that happen? Not enough Leftists voted for Hillary Clinton. Babies and infants taken away from their mothers. Or is humanity defined by a border, by a selfishness. Ok there are scary gangs, so we take that out on one or two year olds? You will never get anywhere like that.

But then the same is happening in Britain/ the EU is it not so it can seem a little hollow. So if the problem is systemic, what is the answer? Is there one?

Yes. Communist ideals, democratically realised.

According to McMaster and Tillerson, Trump wants a war with Venezuela.

BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) — As a meeting last August in the Oval Office to discuss sanctions on Venezuela was concluding, President Donald Trump turned to his top aides and asked an unsettling question: With a fast unraveling Venezuela threatening regional security, why can't the U.S. just simply invade the troubled country?
The suggestion stunned those present at the meeting, including U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and national security adviser H.R. McMaster, both of whom have since left the administration. This account of the previously undisclosed conversation comes from a senior administration official familiar with what was said.
In an exchange that lasted around five minutes, McMaster and others took turns explaining to Trump how military action could backfire and risk losing hard-won support among Latin American governments to punish President Nicolas Maduro for taking Venezuela down the path of dictatorship, according to the official. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the discussions.
But Trump pushed back. Although he gave no indication he was about to order up military plans, he pointed to what he considered past cases of successful gunboat diplomacy in the region, according to the official, like the invasions of Panama and Grenada in the 1980s.
The idea, despite his aides' best attempts to shoot it down, would nonetheless persist in the president's head.

If she had any sense she'd throw a sickie and announce, "sorry I can't see the cunt today"

Trump says he feels 'unwelcome' in London due to protests

trumpdonald_memo_122017getty_1.jpg

Earlier on Thursday, Trump said he believes London citizens “like me a lot,” despite reports of multiple planned protests against him, including a protest involving a 20-foot-tall inflatable baby bearing his face that was scheduled to be flown during his visit.

But after being asked about the blimp, Trump reportedly told The Sun newspaper: “I guess when they put out blimps to make me feel unwelcome, no reason for me to go to London.”
