What are you baking?

This I would eat thusly; thickly sliced, thickly buttered, bit of mature cheddar, bit of brie, various pickle/chutney and grapes.

:D

This is my favourite so far:

They all look quite similar, I suppose. But this one is white flour with wheat and barley flakes, kibbled rye, sunflower seeds, millet and linseed. It's absolutely delish, if I do say so myself. I'm experimenting with mixing some wholemeal and rye flour in now so that I can make it a little healthier. So far nothing beats the 100% white above, though.

Oooh, you put subtle flavours in that one  I would eat it thusly; get at least five knob ends off and slather them in unsalted butter with salt and pepper sprinkled on, make croutons out of the middle

I think that your new lifestyle should include cake or it is bound to fail ime.
Can you designate 1 day of the week cake day?
Cake Friday

I think you might be on to something... I was only just thinking if I walk halfway home then I can have a little something-something when I get there

I haven't baked in a while but here are some muffins for gsv's and Cloo's birthday party today. One lot are carrot, pineapple and sultana with coconut topping, the others are chocolate buttermilk with bitter chocolate chunks and chopped prunes. All organic and low sugar to be proper child friendly (they can poison themselves with chemically farmed shit when they escape their middle class parents).

Cinnamon buns! Followed Nigella's recipe, but had to piss about with it (it was too wet to roll properly), I think it needed a bit more proving the first go round & I can't see how anything that size cooked at 230C is going to last 20 minutes in the oven without incinerating... But the final result was pretty delicious!

I found my deep baking tray so it's either Rocky Road Brownies or some really soft Flapjacks to use up the plethora or dried fruits and oats I've accumulated over the Festive season.

Just peeked in and now feeling hungry. Not baked as such, but was particularly pleased with the last batch of chocolate and cashew fudge I made turned out - like seriously good. It was a microwave recipe and I thought I'd cooked it too long as the butter started to separate off, but I think now I'd not cooked previous batches long enough, as they were more gooey and not so tasty.

I baked Pan Dulce to go along with the Chilli Con Carne I made for my folks (pics over on the ''what's for tea'' thread. A productive day.

I've bought all the ingredients to make gingerbread or gingerbread cake. It will have to wait until tomorrow though as I'm too tired now.

Another batch of mince pies, once the pastry has thawed. Luckily, I made that earlier in the day when not in a foul mood.

My eldest and I made a really yummy banana loaf... chucked in some chocolate buttons from my daughters Christmas selection box (or in fact, she did). I don't like banana loaves but this was yummy!

I sometimes make a chocolate banana cake, with an entire bar of dark chocolate melted in. Delicious.

Today I'm going to make a lime cream cheese cake. It's a lemon drizzle type cake, but some of the butter is replaced with cream cheese.
