If you fancy a break from reality I can heartily recommend lying in a hospital bed with mild delirium and a good dose of morphine. I thought I was flying round the planet. I can now quite honestly say that I've watched elephants crashing through the Sunderban Jungle in West Bengal whilst levitating. Also, Everest. I've been up it now.

Last year when I had kidney stones they gave me morphine and then did an MRI of my pelvis. I was almost in tears at the scan of my beautiful vagina and kept inviting Mr Yu to admire the symmetry. Yeah I'm really going to have to stay away from the poppy tea for a bit after what I had in hospital. The nurses on the ward weren't shy of giving me the Oramorph whenever I needed it (and I really did need it tbh). If I tried chasing the beautifully doped up visions I had then I'd not be long for this world. There was a bloke opposite me who had a drip and could click a button whenever he wanted another dose. I coveted this badly but I don't think I could've trusted myself with it tbh. They'd be ripping it out of my arm while I complained that I hadn't scaled K2 yet.
