When I’m in France for the World Cup i need to carry my passport around for matches as there are spot checks for entry.

I was thinking of buying one of those small sort of bum bags that I’ve seen teenagers wear around their chest. But I don’t know what the bags are called!

When I'm abroad, I carry passport and anything else valuable but small in a money belt out of sight under my trousers. It's fairly easy to open the belt, retrieve the passport to show and put it back without undoing any buttons, and it only looks slightly silly.

In the end I wore shorts with decent sized pockets and managed fine. I didn’t have any issues with pickpocketing or spot any.

Saw a few drug dealer bags as they’re amusingly known though
