EXPLODED TIM! (Help me!!!)
This is not my idea but that of Tony Blair who has blown the dust of one of his old hobby-horses. It will initially enable the identification of those who have and have not been vaccinated which will help the World get back to normal. It will also enable the state to keeps even closer tabs on me (and everyone else) and presumably will to the recording of more of our bio-data. It could be argued that facial recognition and other invasive technology means that we are well on the way to this anyway and that it would be better to have a formal regulated system than an ad hoc one.

I'm against it which probably puts me on the same side as Piers Corbyn and his antivaxxer sextet.

'Common sense' to move toward digital IDs - Blair

Because this government's handling of data with its failed test and trace system, failed tracing apps and failure to share infection data with local authorities has been so terrific up to now. And Cummings hardly has any form for using bootlegged personal data to leverage elections.

Who is paying him for this, or does he just want vindication?

Everything he does nowadays is about protecting his legacy against the increasingly glaring revelation that all he really did was to help lock in thatcherism and right-populism as the permanent pollitical consensus.

Isn’t he an actual Catholic? Perhaps he is thinking about the Last Judgement, or actually has some hope of canonisation.
