The Jehovah's Witnesses have been going on about upcoming catastrophe since before the Great Parousia of 1843, when Jesus came back to judge the living and dead. Neither their preaching about catastrophe nor its repeated failure to happen seems to have put people off from joining them and becoming window cleaners.
