I went up a very quiet route last year starting at Tynyfach. By the time I saw other people, I had done all the hard work. I’d go that route again. Don’t fancy the crowds from the main car park.

I went up this as a kid, maybe age 10 or so. I don't remember it well but there was skinny dipping in a very cold lake, and I think that's the mountain I left my teeth brace half way up. Took them out for sandwiches, was very unpopular that we had to retrace our steps to retrieve them
