Vegetable pasta bake left out of fridge overnight

OK to eat or are we risking Xmas food poisoning? I put it in the fridge when I remembered this morning but it had been out all day yesterday. Will nuke it in microwave.

Same here angel. Our kitchen has no hearing, concrete floor and a badly fitting door. In winter it's usually colder than the fridge :D

Even meat stuff we leave out tbh. As long as it's covered well etc.

Reheat it really well until it's so hot it would burn your tongue. Otherwise bacteria will bloom out of control if you just "warm" it

Rice is apparently uniquely potentially lethal because of bugs that come with the rice and are never actually killed by cooking .
Not that it ever stopped me and I'll eat anything that isn't actually moving.

But we're talking about a pasta dish.

Yeah it will likely be fine assuming you are in the northern hemisphere ie winter. I frequently cook for 2 nights in a row and leave the portion for day 2 covered but out of the fridge overnight during the winter.
Be a bit more careful with meat, shellfish, or rice in terms of cooling and storing it at an appropriate temperature once cooked, but a vegetable bake should be fine. A general rule of thumb for vegetable dishes is if it smells OK before and during reheating, it's probably OK.

I knew someone who did the same as you - they died slowly, writhing in agony as their internal organs atrophied, their skin fell off & their rectum explosively prolapsed.

But I'm sure you'll be fine.

What I mean is that's the explanation for why rice is uniquely problematic and by definition other veggie food is less of a problem.

Not really - Pasta itself is actually a near-ideal host for a whole range of pretty unpleasant bacteria - and then there is the added issue of aflatoxins to consider.

So any veg in the product is largely superfluous as far as any risk is concerned.

However, left out overnight in a cold kitchen at this time of year - Even I'd risk it! :D
