Tomorrow, Uganda goes to the polls. Will it mean the replacement of Yoweri Museveni with Bobi Wine?

Or will it mean that the latter candidate has an "accident", along with large numbers of his supporters?

Wine himself is confident of victory:



Twitter meanwhile, are annoyed that Museveni has ordered all social media to be turned off in the country. . .

Museveni - or "Mu7i" as the cool kids call him - is alleging foreign influence, including foreign homosexual influence:

I really hope not, but then again people like Musuveni who have been in power for longer than I have been alive generally tend not to give up without a fight so some bloodshed is perhaps inevitable but I am optimistic given the massive levels of popular support for Bobi Wine

Museveni appears to have an early lead, according to this story from earlier today.

Uganda president in election lead, rival alleges fraud

President Yoweri Museveni took an early lead in Uganda's presidential election, according to preliminary results released this morning by the electoral commission, as his main rival said he had proof that the poll had been marred by fraud.

This might turn out to be fraud, or certain areas reporting earlier. We'll see.
