Transgender hate crimes recorded by police go up 81%

As I said, apologising for any innacuracies and I stand corrected.

I guess I should have said 'presenting in a masculine way' although obviously from what you have said (and you know much better than I do!) that's not accurate either.

But either way, these khazi Stasi types are utterly clueless as to who is 'supposed' to be in women's toilets or indeed what the fucking problem is with them being there.

I'm getting really fucked off with how this is increasingly presented as a women's' rights issue.

I honestly think that a woman will stand a greater chance of being run over by a bus than attacked or harassed by a transwoman just wanting to use the women's toilets.

How many coppers are guilty of rape or sexual assault? Fucking thousands. I dont see these brave protectors of women standing up to them, or even saying anything about it.

And then they will complain about the 'lefty men' who argue with them, trying to pretend that it's only lefty men v all women. Utterly disingenuous wankers.

I’m finding it hard to dig up figures on those bus fatalities, so have nothing to counter with.

Posts generally appearing perfectly sensible, but I tbf I do currently have some mild brain damage.

Apologies to hijack this thread to talk about other related issues, but there don't seem to be any active political threads around LGBT issues other than this one.

Feeling really pissed off about this election and the state of LGBT rights issues in general. It feels as though the whole of LGBT+ issues have been narrowed into two political questions - 'should we stop those awful trans people going into female toilets?' and the more positive 'should we ban conversion therapy?'. Obviously the first is well covered on this thread, and is a bit of a proxy attack on all LGBT+ people, seeking to roll back rights in general as well as specifically to trans people - but I suspect a large portion of gay and lesbian people don't feel the whole transgender row really affects them directly. Conversion therapy seems to have become the main non-trans-specific political demand - but why? I'm not saying it's not a bad thing that should be opposed, but in terms of the number of people it actually affects why is it the priority?

The absolute biggest thing that has enabled me to live a decent life has been access to housing. I can't imagine what it must be like to be a gay man in your teens and early 20s with no prospect of moving out of the family home. Even worse likely for young trans people. Similarly we as a community have worse health outcomes, especially around mental health - why is not access to high quality, tailored mental health services not seen as a specifically LGBT+ issue? Not to mention elderly care, something that increasingly terrifies me. Perhaps I'm so out of the loop (I'm really not engaged with the gay 'community' as such, which feels quite illusory these days) that I've missed campaigning on these issues, but it feels like the whole debate has been narrowed so I don't really recognise myself or my needs within it.

this are key points, the irony of course is that toilet policing rather than preventing 'men in dressing ' from accessing female single sex spaces seems to be targetting GNC cisgender female, especially butch presenting lesbians

the housing / social measureso f deprivation / health stuff is what should be on the agenda , but the wank addled pornsick fantasising of Robert Galbraith and Gammon lineham is what dominates

Definitely not a good look, a white man telling a black woman that she should Shut Up, and that he wishes she didn't exist.
Badenoch is a pawn for Old white men

her bigotry , misogyny and homophobia is apparent including her admission she has ensurecd the EHRFDC is packed with people to do old white men;s bidding

Uhm.... she's not beyond criticism for her views because she's black and a woman. Badenoch thinks saying he's being racist is this massive 'Gotcha!' for woke folks because she believes that being woke means you think any criticism of a less privileged person is racism/homophobia/transphobia/classism.

That isn't how it works.

Tennant 100% would have said the same thing if it had been a white man saying what Badenoch said.

Of course, Badenoch probably thinks PoC campaigning for social justice are 'playing the race card', but hypocritically uses it herself as a shield from criticism.
Badenoch is a sufferer of Dizaei Syndrome

oddly enough t the three most nasty bullies i met in the NHS all had dizaei Syndrome as well.

indeed as can be seen by their harassment of butch presenting cis women

the transphobes seem to have this fantasy that all trans women are 6 ft 4 , 18 stone built like a brick outhouse and don't make any effort to present in a feminine manner apart from 'cross dressing' ... or conversely that trans women would style themsleves in the manner of a drag queen at all times ...

current and past jobs were both jobs which required practical clothing , my current role has a fairly tightly defined and gender neutral uniform and has personal grooming standards that make certain aspects of performing gender hard ( hair must be back and unable to fall int he way ( patient contact role) meaning if you have long hair your options are up or a pony tail / plait(s)if it's long enough and heavy enough to stay behind your back ... make up is meant to be 'discreet' etc ...

oddly the descriptions of toilet and changing room behaviour from many of the 'concerned women' read like the wank addled fantasises of mid C20th minor public school boys

It's something which the likes of Badenoch become adept at - it really is waeponisation of 'playing the victim' as any criticism is met with ' is it 'cos i is black ?' ...

Would reply but am on a quite powerful drug cocktail of my own invention. Am amazed I can type..

Later edit: fluffed

I wonder how this will play out? Christian Concern (yuck) are supporting nurses who don't want transgender colleagues to share their facilities.

Ick. I expect they have assessed that it is a winnable fight.

I’m not sure that “it’s all that Sunak and Starmer care about” is right.

I got the impression they would both be very happy if the whole can of worms vanished.

(above post coming from someone with almost no media access since 16th June, but if nothing major has changed since then, I’ll stand by it)
It sure as hell feels like it. Every time I hear about those two arseholes debating, it's always about trans people and not the many other things going on. I mean, shit is being pumped into rivers and that's far more dangerous than the tiny possibility of the woman in the bog next door being trans.

Also, 'good look' my fucking arse, Tennant is not targeting her because she's black and she knows it. Her being black is irrelevant, she's the one who openly admitted that the Tories stacked the deck so Cass could happen. Badenoch is happy to throw other black people under the bus when it suits her, she can fuck all the way off crying about racism when she's the same person who denies institutional racism exists. If a black person says or does something shitty, they shouldn't be given a pass. Anymore than criticising Chaiya Raichik is antisemitic.

First para: I’ve been out of the loop for medical reasons. But yeah, if that’s what they’re doing then agree totally. I have no reason to doubt you either.

Second para: I assume not all is replying to anything I said because I can’t find anything where I said such things.

But just in case - yeah, it’s clear to a potato that this is not a racist attack from Tennant as well as the other points.

'Khazi Stasi'. Love it.

Aside from the comments that have been reported:

“Until we wake up and Kemi Badenoch doesn’t exist anymore – I don’t wish ill of her, I just wish her to shut up – whilst we do live in this world, I am honored to receive this [award],”

Kemi Badenoch is now implying these comments are incitement against her, JKR has called Tennant a member of the Gender Taliban and Wes Streeting future Health Minister has said Tennant should apologise.

Then again, you could also see this extended chat he had at the same event and realised that of all the people named above, David Tennant is the only one that doesn't sound completely insane when talking about trans people.

With my favourite quote being.

I doubt Tennant will apologise because he hasn't actually done anything wrong but the Tories, Labour and transphobes want to insist he has.

I love Tennant, and that interview was perfect. What a lovely man, and what a perfect message.

In other news, our oldest is busy supporting this protest since yesterday:

They have asked if they can be one of the people staying up on the ledge for a bit, but that is to be discussed!
