Unsurprisingly one of the minor coalition parties insisted that it be replaced because it teaches "ideology" as part of the coalition agreement - same party that proposes a Bathroom Bill.

The Ministry of Education itself briefed the Education Minister that there's a massive amount of anti trans and LGBTQi misinformation pretending to be the MoE guidance being circulated (by some of the same people who were at the anti-trans conference last weekend).

It's another point of comparison to Gillian Keegan's insane 72 genders nonsense with the proposed guidance the Tories are attempting to shove through - but still worrying that the Ministry is telling the Minister, hey the public are deliberately being lied to in order to attack the trans community and sex education.

The review into our RSE curriculum which is guidance, not mandatory, and requires schools to tell parents what they're teaching and give them the option to withdraw their child from the lessons - is still going ahead, despite the demand for a review stemming purely from the misinformation and conspiracies thinking of the anti trans movement .

Pretty sure I've heard of cases where male security guards have been called to remove people (actually in at least 1 publicised case I heard about, a cisgender lesbian) from the queue in a Ladies loo.
It is largely going to be men policing it, just on the basis that most security guards happen to be male.

I doubt many who held that view had really thought it through - which seems to be a common trait of bigots.

The other point trans people made is that banning trans women from women's toilets would certainly also require trans men to be banned from men's facilities, which would then lead to men using the ladies becoming a routine event. How the fuck do they intend to deal with that?

Also - checking genitals is hardly a surefire way to root out trans women.

I know this is an incredibly cliched comparison, but it's like when Serena Joy in The Handmaid's Tale finds out the hard way that the ban on women working, and women losing their rights, also affects HER. Predictably they've got an answer for this. Cis women being challenged in women's toilets is the fault of trans women for existing because before then everyone knew what a woman was and no-one ever went in the wrong toilet. And famously butch, queer and lesbian women never faced any social stigma or exclusion prior to trans people being invented on tumblr in 2015.

Everything Starmer posts on twitter, the first comment is, 'he can't define a woman' or words to that effect. It'll be a tiny cadre of trolls with absolutely nothing better to do responsible for this, but it seems to have worked. At least as far as forcing Starmer to never once speak up for trans folk, in the unlikely event he was ever motivated to.
