Tommy Robinson is a horrible man

I've not actually seen anything about a meet up point for "Tommy" and his supporters, is that still going ahead?
Apparently last I heard was they are planning to March at 1pm from Victoria St across Parliament Sq to Whitehall/King Charles St. The main SUTR thing is gathering at Picadilly/St James at 11.30 and is marching to Trafalgar Sq, which is where the Families for Justice thing is.
Seems the cops are planning to keep the two sides 200m apart along Whitehall. But with so much happening as has been noted, and possible breakaway grps etc it looks like it could be fluid and dangerous on the day - possibly one of first times there have been large mobilisations of both fascists and anti fascists simultaneously for a long time…

why was this guy not lifted at the boarder :hmm:

Terrorism act charges .. err he is wander around London as a free man atm

Well, it's only him suggesting he may be arrested under the Terrorism Act, so he can grift more donations, IIRC he's only wanted contempt of court.

In other news -

Grifting moron-herder Tommy Robinson has insisted that not letting racists and homophobes discriminate against whoever they feel like discriminates against their human right to discrimination.

Robinson was talking to reporters after finding himself at the centre of another legal inquiry after releasing a video containing false allegations that the courts had repeatedly told him not to share.

The former EDL leader told reporters, “It is outrageous that in this day and age I can’t choose to discriminate against whoever I want to, whether that’s Muslims, immigrants, refugees or Muslim refugee immigrants.

I love how they describe him as the 'grifting moron-herder.' :D

“As a sovereign citizen, I should be able to discriminate freely without the fear of my discrimination being discriminated against. You’re treating us racists like we’re Muslims or something.

“It is the Liberal establishment elite that has got everyone being respectful to people different from us, when in reality the silent majority agrees with me that we should hate everyone a bit different from what we see in a mirror.

“Oh yes they do.”

The most eloquent mouthpiece the nation’s racists could find went on, “Publishing a video containing false claims about a Syrian refugee in contravention of a court order is precisely the sort of discrimination that should be allowed.

“Just because a court has heard all the evidence and decided I have libelled this refugee, doesn’t mean I can’t just keep on saying the same things about him time and time again.

“How anyone could see this behaviour as illegal is beyond me.

“You’re just discriminating against people who’ve lost libel cases, and you yourselves said discrimination is bad. Checkmate liberals.”

As I understand it the video relates to the issue of him not allowing access to his phone under the Terrorism Act when he was arrested at Folkstone , leaving the country, on the 28th of July. He was released with a condition to attend a Police Station on 25th October . Presumably to be told if he is to be charged or NFA'd .

He was release even though as a suspected terrorist he didn't allow access to his phone?

"Give us access to your phone." "No." "Ah ok off you go then."

I don't think he's a suspected terrorist, as The39thStep has posted, he was arrested under the Terrorism Act simply for failing to comply with a stop and search order.

Far-right British activist Tommy Robinson was arrested for failing to comply with a stop and search order, not for holding a demonstration in London, contrary to suggestions made on social media.
Thousands of supporters of Robinson - real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon - attended a march in the British capital on Saturday, July 27.
He was arrested in Kent on Sunday, July 28, under counter-terrorism laws, sparking misleading social media posts that claimed the detention was linked to Saturday’s protest.

some people would find it a bit harsh to chuck him out on the street for that.

What happens when someone's bailed with a date to return and they don't turn up? Is an arrest warrant issued?

There's nothing the mouthy moron would like better than to be arrested at the fash march tomorrow, in front of all his followers. I hope that doesn't happen.

Think it is arrest without warrant and appear in the next available court. I've worked in criminal justice and with young offenders but I am not legally qualified nor have I been a police officer. A380 might be able to advise.

Apparently he's been remanded.

News sites are reporting he's been bailed.

Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, better known as Tommy Robinson, has been charged with failing to provide the PIN to his mobile phone under Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act and has been bailed to appear in court next month, Kent Police said.

The charge is in relation to an incident in Folkestone on 28 July, after officers stopped Robinson under Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

Robinson has been bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 13 November, 2024.

Apparently he's been remanded.

This gave me a right ol' chuckle

Bugger!

Hope Not Hate haven't picked up on that yet then..

Actually, maybe not. The I article says

His X account posted: “We can confirm that Tommy is now being held on remand until Monday where he will appear at Woolwich Crown Court at 10am.”

Bit confusing as the article above states he was bailed for the pin number issue and then remanded due to a high court issue . I understood that the crown court conditions were that he had to state his intent to attend the crown court hearing by a certain date which he had which to me explained why he hadn't been arrested at Luton when he flew in. Anyway for a man which no fixed abode he has a roof over his head and he can't get into any more trouble before his Crown Court hearing.

Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, handed himself on Friday afternoon in to Folkestone police station where he was charged with failing to provide the PIN to his mobile phone under Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act. He was bailed to appear in court next month, Kent police said. He was then remanded in custody under a high court direction, the force said.

That explains the confusion.
