Tommy Robinson is a horrible man

football firms united and supposedly has tommy phone number in prison

sounds like another fucking grifter trying to sell shit to fuckwit football fans
Their heyday was the FLA and when anyone with any sense had left, the dregs that formed the DFLA. Dolan wasn't prominent in any of that, I doubt if he was actually involved unless it was to get a photo. When it came to the crunch FLAF and other anti-fascists saw the DFLA off anyway.

There were few football groups at TR's last rally but their role is reduced now to simply to turning up up, chant a bit and then fucking off to the pub. We should be more concerned by the number of women who turned up.

Yeah I had a wander through the first big demo. They're were a few casual types being rowdy outside pubs but the demographic of the crowd was much closer to the big lockdown protests than the EDL heyday.

Yeah, he's so fucking brave, fleeing abroad during the riots. Also, the majority of Brits will go about our lives when he carks it. As if he had the level of fame Di did.

Also, he's not going to shag you, hun.

what are we missing that unemployed housewives are seeing?
I wish people would stop with the benefits and unemployed jibes. Itā€™s not edifying.

Not only is it naked snobbery, it ought to raise questions:

Is it true that far right supporters are disproportionately unemployed?

Or not necessarily unemployed themselves but in communities with high levels of unemployment or deprivation?

If so, why? Why are far right arguments speaking to them and not others?

If that support is in these communities, why are these communities ā€œleft behindā€ anyway?

Is the best response of liberals and others really to point and say ā€œha ha, unemployed buffoonā€? (Hint, really really not).

yes yes, but my throwaway joke said all that in one line, which is kinda the point of an informal forum conversation as opposed to a political party planning meeting.

Musk has decided to help fund Tommy Robinson's legal fees, fascists of a feather....

Elon Musk has agreed to help fund the mounting legal bills of Tommy Robinson, according to claims made by supporters of the jailed far-right leader.
(...)
Musk has not revealed any donations himself, but a message sent out on Robinsonā€™s X and Telegram accounts stated: ā€œWe are grateful to Elon Musk and his team at X for agreeing to provide support to Tommy Robinson for two specific legal casesā€ .

The statement from Robinsonā€™s team says the assistance from the worldā€™s richest man was ā€œunexpectedā€.

ā€œWe extend our heartfelt gratitude to Elon and his team for their unexpected and generous assistance with these cases. Tommy is immensely grateful for their support, which came as a complete surprise,ā€ it reads.
(...)
The account says that thanks to Muskā€™s support a crowdfunding campaign which aimed to raise Ā£125,000 to pay for Robinsonā€™s legal fees had stopped. It is not clear how much Musk has allegedly contributed but by the end of November the funding campaign had raised just over Ā£100,000.

A second crowdfunding page seeking funds to support Robinsonā€™s children posted a statement regarding the legal donations page. It read: ā€œIn January, Elon Musk announced he will cover Tommy Robinsonā€™s legal bills going forward, so we are putting our crowdfunding efforts on hold. Thanks to everyone who contributed!ā€
