The stupidity of the anti-vaxx nutcases

Reading the obituaries of anti -vaxers is becoming a guilty pleasure.

If you are vaccinated you could still pass it on so basically you could kill an anti vaxer. ( Of course a flame-thrower would be more fun but a win is a win :) )

Lots aren't anti-vaxx as much as just being mistrustful of authority and not knowing what to believe and so fall into the slum of bullshit. Those deserve our support rather than ridicule.
yes, I've come to accept that this is their safe space in the chaotic life we all live through so stopped engaging because I find it hard to do it in a non confrontational way.

What to believe? The entire medical establishment or Terry on Facebook? Such a tough choice.

I don’t mean the ones where conspiracy theories have become their philosophy and are attacking medical professionals or mask wearers and the such. But there is a grey area somewhere between that and Marxist academics where they feel that something is up but don’t know what and can be susceptible to the explanations of cunts. Their deaths are needless.

My favourite ones are the anti-vax radio DJ’s in the USA. Propagating dangerous lies. LOADS of croaked recently. My schadenfreude meter goes into the red.

Nearly all the croaked antivaxxers on those Reddit sites at some point repost some Candace Owens shit on their Facebook, she is truly the angel of death.

“You are mass murdering cunts” is not a narrative enough directed at the worst of these grifters.
I always wonder when we get this situation under some kind of long term control how the antivax crowd will reflect on their actions.
I'm old enough to have a father who served for the whole of WW2 (Merchant Navy). As did a lot of his mates who I knew as 'Uncle Jack' and 'Uncle Brian', etc growing up.
A question was often 'What did you do in the war 'Uncle X'?
I wonder what the answer these days would be?
What did you do in a once in a century global endemic 'Uncle Cunt'?
Answer... 'well sonny I ignored the CDC advice, encouraged other people to ignore CDC advice, got my advice from social media posts and generally acted like Pestilence's best mate. Sorry about all your loved ones who died of Covid BTW. Sheep.'

Yep.

And it must be a very strange spot/headspace to be in at this stage and be unvaxxed, at least in the UK. Oh I’m offering myself up for COVID hospitalisation for the next god knows how many years. Why? I’ve done my research.

It’s a real staff room silencer, and they will get met with a lot of hostility and bad energy on the way. They must feel an almighty crushing social pressure. Good.

They probably don’t - the ability to construct a social circle online that reinforces your outlook means many just won’t come in contact with reality at all. And Facebook etc. aren’t about to wreck their business model by preventing this happening.

My partners friend is not vaccinated (a mix of being a hippie and also maybe health anxious) and was due to come and visit us this week, but we had to tell her we were at a party at the weekend with about 100 people, so she decided not to risk coming. She's a nurse too, although doesn't work clinically nowadays.

I don't have any data to support it, but the anecdotal answer I've gleaned from the net over the couple of years is conspiraloons rarely 'come back'. They shift the goalposts, ignore the evidence they were completely wrong and move on to new conspiracies. :(

They're frothing at the vote in Welsh Government about Passports for nightclubs and big events in Wales being passed last night
1 vote in it as one member didn't log on in time!
Totally "rigged" of course
