You may be right but i've never watched the walking dead so i can't compare it to this. Never played the LOU game either. Enjoyed both episodes so far. If it gets shit later i'll stop watching.I saw the first episode but haven’t seen any more yet. I still don’t get what makes it so good though? What makes this better than the first couple episodes of Walking Dead, which everyone raved about at the time? What makes it not just another rehash of the same old scenario? The fact it’s caused by a mutant global warming fungus or whatever doesn’t really add anything imo.
I was sucked into watching about seven seasons more of the Walking Dead than I should have done, I’ll never get those hours of my life back. If I’m going to follow this show I need to be sure in my own mind why.
Well, one very crucial difference apparent already is that this show gets the pace spot on; the complete opposite of The Snoozing Dead.I saw the first episode but haven’t seen any more yet. This week’s episode didn’t go the way I was expecting, but the series is all the better for it. Great storytelling, and I can’t wait for the next instalment. How to fucking make a TV series

Ooh I'd seen this mentioned in places but didn't realise it was about a pandemic caused by a cordyceps fungus Cordyceps are awesome, one of my next tattoos is gonna be a giant ant with a fruiting body growing out of its head.
Yeah they affect a lot of species but they tend to be super specialised, so one fungus will affect a specific species of ant or whatever but not the very closely related species living a mile away. I read an estimate from a scientist who works with these and various other parasites that there's probably 1000+ different ophiocordyceps in the world and they're finding new ones all the time.Yeah see post 61. I've also seen several pics of infected insects recently like this fly here...

Freaky fungus turns a tarantula into a work of art
This unfortunate arachnid is infected with Cordyceps, a parasitic fungus that replaces its host’s tissue with its own. Cordyceps fungi invades its hosts (mainly arthropods), and eventually re…sciencebasedlife.wordpress.com
The games are actually one of the few with a really high quality of writing and dialogue. If you just watched the cut scenes back to back and then filled in the in between bits they would actually be better than most movies, one reason why this adaptation is particularly good.Oh, it’s a video game? OK, I’m out.

I know exactly what that means. The games are actually one of the few with a really high quality of writing and dialogue. That the TV series is excellent?I know exactly what that means.
I’m never done talking about the cut scenes of video games with da yoot. Sick. That the TV series is excellent?

Cut scenes are the talky story bits where you don't have to press any buttons.I’m never done talking about the cut scenes of video games with da yoot. Sick.
They’re the bit everyone skips because they want to play a game not watch a badly animated movie.
If you watch the opening 15 minutes of the game on Youtube, you can see how it is quite easily adapted to TV. The entire game keeps up a similar level of cinematicness throughout.
