I was walking on Arran last week, ideal for Lily (Breton spaniel) to do what she's designed for - running and sniffing like a maniac. Miles of deserted woodland paths and bracken moors to scour. It's a wonderful thing seeing dogs in their natural environment. Poor Obi-wan (black dog) put in an admirable effort trying to keep up, but I think Lily was running at least 4 miles for each mile I walked and would have carried on if I had.
