Hello from Spain, I saw this thread randomly and I needed to response all people that insulted Dolores, The Cranberries and the fans who love The Cranberries:

They are not just a single alt-rock band from the 90s, they changed the music scene when grunge were huge in America. The Cranberries always did all they want, and never lost their identity.

At my 30s, I can say that if The Cranberries hadn't existed my life would not be complete. Because Dolores are in my mind ane in my heart since I was just 4 years old.

Saludos desde España

I'm interested to know how they changed the music scene? Whatever you think of their music, it wasn't particularly ground breaking.
The Cranberries were not innovative but Slowdive, as some critics mention, were it? Souvlaki came out in June 1992 and EEIDISWCW in March 1992, with which the first great dreampop album belongs to The Cranberries.
In addition, folk-rock had been cornered in the music scene for 10 years, since the decline in popularity of Jethro Tull in the 80s, and The Cranberries reinterpreted the folk-rock sound by adding a new instrument:
THE VOICE OF DOLORES O'RIORDAN

Asking for it here but I don't think The Cranberries were the Limerick Jethro Tull.
The Cranberries are bigger than Jethro Tull, with a much smaller discography. I love Jethro Tull and I think Aqualung is a rock Top 100 álbum, but despising The Cranberries is absurd.
EEIDISWCW, NNTA, TTFD and BTH, 4 albums released in the 90s that today have sold 40 million copies in total, which feature at least 20 seminal songs of alternative music from the 90s. I don't understand the antipathy for The Cranberries, I guess it must be because Dolores was pro-life

What about WUASTC, the worst Limerick album title of all time. Giveamanakick's Is It Ok To Be Loud Jesus being the greatest.

I don't understand - who's disrespecting you?
When they insult The Cranberries they are insulting the fans, and for me as a child who grew up in the 90's this band is part of me. In addition, I have great appreciation for Dolores as a person, because her music and her charisma helped me in the grieving process.
