The Championship 2019-20

Great result for the Bees last night.
apart from what's already been mentioned, they have been very well managed financially and what's more. Rick Walkman is a big fan....
9 points, 3 clean sheets, 6 goals in the 3 games since returning.

Baggies draw or lose tonight and we beat Wigan Saturday we go 2nd.

Wind in our sails and pretty much a fully fit squad.

The dream is on for sure.

Wigan have dragged themselves up by the bootstraps to a very respectable mid table position with great recent form. Having heard the recent news about them, I feel very sorry for them. :(

No surprise. Beating Reading isn't a big deal at the moment. Fans who watched the game said we were rubbish.
Au contraire, bigger deal than ever to pick up 3 points in the ‘should win’ games, we’re holding our nerve so far - any slip up now and chance of automatic promotion is out the window.

Shame alright.

Same return form as us with 9 points, 3 clean sheets and 7 goals.

Don’t fancy meeting them right now to be honest.

Nah, not everyone likes brentford. At least, loads of blues didn't when that viler smith was manager. They were dirty, diving barstewards, especially maupay! They're a good team now though with what looks like a decent set up behind the scenes, so are deservedly doing well, unlike our usual shambles!

I can see the top 2 staying there :(
That's pretty much nailed on, I think, much as I would love to see Leeds fail. Brentford need to prepare for the play offs.

In other news, Reading managed their best away win for decades, and Yaks got four. We could be mathematically safe by 5.00 pm next Saturday!

Charlton at home for the Bees tonight, they beat us 1-0 at the start of the season. Bastards.
Big game for both teams for different reasons. End of season games against relegation threatened sides are a bit unpredictable. I'd like to see Charlton stay up, as much as I'd like to see Brentford go up.

Reading have a home game against Huddersfield, which should be three more points towards the mathematical safety that I crave. I'm not betting on it though. I don't think they can be as bad as Luton were.

In other news, the Div 1 play offs mean we are guaranteed a local derby next season, against either Oxford or Wycombe. I very much hope that frogwoman will be joining us on next season's Championship thread.

They had a decent June so only the recent Millwall result was a negative for them, and they’re a bit of a bogie team for us.

😓

Yeah as much as I dislike Oxford it's a pretty unbelievable outcome and I'm struggling to get my head around it tbh. 😂 Well done mx wcfc , guess I'll see you at Wembley 😁

Sorry, I think I misread your post. Completely crazy outcome. My mate reckons Ainsworth is a better manager than Martin O'Neill

Brilliant yes, but is that enough?
Who knows HT. Just gotta keep the pressure on, we can only do what we need to do and hopefully tings change with the top 2.

Don’t see it changing with the top 2 so just hope we still have some gas in the tank for the playoffs.

Exciting as fuck tho’. Best league in the world.
