Well, we were utterly crap again tonight, losing 1 nil away at wigan Reckon we might sack our manager again soon.

mx wcfc, how is morrison getting on, always thought we were mad to let him leave on a free.

TBH, I go to non league these days. which given how sh1te Reading are is no bad thing.

Championship is full of inconsistent sides this season - despite losing 4 times already, Wednesday are still only 2 points off the play offs

Monk is a very good manager at this level. Shame he's such a dodge-pot though  These managers, if they get sacked for [alleged] improprieties, some other club gives them a huge wodge of money a month later :guy:

Great game at the blues last night, good atmosphere and a cracking win over a poor boro side we dominated from start to finish! Our 16 year old midfielder Jude Bellingham looks a different class already, and our 19 yr old striker scored a last minute winner. Sometimes, footy is sweet innit!

I'm guessing those kids are local lads, and that's exactly what I like to see.

Meanwhile, Reading, with our record signing from eastern Europe are now third from bottom,,,,,,

Word is Reading FC have sacked our manager after dropping into the bottom three. sad as ever, but things weren't working so better to get rid and get someone new in well before the January window.

Chris Hughton is far and away the fans' favourite, and I'd be well happy with him. Knows the Championship and how to get out of it, upwards, importantly.

Do you think Houghton would be interested? I would have thought he might wait for a lower-table Premiership side to sack their manager - Southampton maybe?

Seemingly the new favourite for the job is Mark Hughes.

but in real life we get Mark Bowen. Hope he will be the new Brian McDermott.
It's a bit odd, given Bowen probably sacked Gomes.

I'll wait and see what the results are like. If he doesn't get us out of the relegation zone, we will have another new manager by March.
It's fun being a Reading fan these days isn't it?:hmm:

This. I mean how can anyone trust him when he must have played a part in sacking Gomes and then giving himself the job?!

And I fully expect us to have another manager before the end of the season. Probably someone just as bizarre.

Well, 4 points from 2 games against top 6 opposition since Bowen took charge. I'll take that. Long may this continue.

So Wednesday go 3rd (at least temporarily) after winning a very poor game against Stoke last night. Can't help but think we may be in a false position though - we've won 7 games although all of them against teams now in the bottom 8.

L**ds on Saturday. Should be a decent turn out for that, even though its early kick off for tv.

Blues beat a poor Blackburn Rovers 1.0 last night as well, after narrowly losing to leeds (who are definitely beatable btw) on saturday. Next up, Luton Town.

Funny old game innit, i was only saying on here recently that Pep Clotet our manager would probs be sacked soon, but he seems to be starting to turn us around. It seems a really open league this year...

Fulham still not really got going but only a few points from top two.

seems a very weak league this season and there for the taking for anyone who goes on a semi decent run.

Couldn't agree more about the open league comments. Three or four teams missed opportunities to get themselves right at the top of the table the weekend just gone, while now it seems like Birmingham and Brentford coming up on the rails.

We had a pretty entertaining 0-0 with Leeds - think both sides will be thinking they could have won it.

I'm a Fulham fan and am delighted to be back in the Championship.

Ideally I'd love to see us win it and not get promoted. Fuck the premiership!

We've managed to get Tom Cairney and Aleksandar Mitrović to sign new contracts. This is HUGE for us. Probably our best two players when we were promoted via the play offs two seasons ago. We still have a lot of the players from that side actually.

The bookies currently have Leeds as favorites to win the league and then Fulham and Cardiff. But one of the beauties of the division is its very unpredictable.

Anyway...good luck to you all apart from when you play us.

Another Fulham fan here, this season is more fun that last already. Agreed, prefer the Championship to the Premier League.

Wednesday been charged with breaching FFP rules over sale of stadium. Think we’re in trouble here given precedent with Birmingham last season. Could go from chasing a play off place to trying to avoid relegation sharpish

Looks like it will depend on when we sold the stadium and which financial year it was applied to.

I don't like the look of it in general, Chansiri may have pumped a load of money in initially, but we seem to be one of those teams who banked on getting into the Prem before it caught up with us.

West Brom top again. They look solid and Charlie Austin has to be one of the best strikers in there. He reminds me of Defoe, they just know where the net is.

This division is there for the taking. There's no real class side. No Wolves. Fulham are third are have been far from great.

Wednesday conceded yet another late goal the other evening after dominating Derby for 60 minutes. Monk's tactics are sometimes extremely negative as game gets into final 20 minutes.
