*The Archers thread

I reckon the person who turned up was hired by Joy as a crisis actor, hence not knowing about the accident in the Am, and Joy being in hospital, and Joy not knowing she was veggie

Really her appearance has posed more questions than answers which I suppose means I’ll listen tomorrow :hmm:

Probably where she fell out with that other director she complains about.
Can't remember his name but he sometimes put on a rival show to the Ambridge Christmas play.
Not been around for a few years.

Didn't she have. a rivalry with a female Director in Darrington - I seem to remember some kerfuffle after Lynda's MBE in the run up to the passion plays?

Rochelle showing up certainly put paid to Joy's proposal to Nick ..
Rochelle cleared up the rubbish from the table at Christmas. Did she find the sekrit cracker riddle all screwed up? Everyone saw Joy acting shifty so Rochelle might have been just curious, like.

Yeah it's definitely Mick with mucky feet under the table.

are you sure?

I could have sworn I heard him in a recent episode say "Nick, with an N"
From a quick Google.
I missed the last one about Rochelle caring for Joy.
Mick Fadmoor is a character in the BBC Radio 4 soap opera The Archers. Martin Barrasshas played Mick since 2022.

In recent episodes, Mick has:

  • Interviewed for a security job at Grey Gables
  • Landed a job on the Grey Gables security team
  • Been told by Joy that he had no right to steal her address book and knock on people's doors
  • Wondered why he hasn't met Rochelle before, especially since the accident
  • Been upset when Joy told him that Rochelle's supposed to care for Joy

Linda has some beef with a local reviewer type Tristram “Hatchet” Hawkshaw. And something about a rival play producer from Felpersham Light Opera Society.

Rochelle storyline is going to being dragged out for months. I have wondered if she’s turned up on Christmas Day with say a small bag, what is she doing for pants and socks 6 days later? Why did she lose access to the bairns and why don’t they want to speak to her? Substance use in the past with a sideline in sex work to support the addiction? Membership of a bizarre cult?

Mick I reckon has form for kerb crawling or something like that.

Thats my theory, though maybe something more prosaic.

Although Rochelle did go to the shops. Maybe she got more pants and socks then

Every time Rex is in a scene with a woman I wonder if this is going to mean he’s set up with them. He’s gone from sprung on Anisha (who then got the hell out) then sprung on Pip (who had a kid with his brother and is now in a relationship with a woman) so wonder if he’s taken a vow of celibacy

Tom and Natasha will get a chunk of the bridge farm estate up front in lieu of not getting the farmhouse. Natasha will invest that money into horrible non organic food products and her daughters will advertise GM mass produced food and this will break Tony’s heart both metaphorically and literally
