The actual covid risk on public transport

GWR long distance trains work out of various depots - having previously worked for the company who built and serviced those trains there are definitely depots in Bristol, Swansea, North Pole. I can't remember if there was one in Plymouth though, I think the ones I mention are the biggest.
The quite famous Laira depot is in Plymouth. Not as important as it once was but I think it's still where quite a few drivers are based.

I don't think the new trains are stabled there and they're the ones which leave London to the West of England and South Wales. Perhaps the previous HST which are used regionally still are stabled there.

It's reported here as being centred on Laira

TRAIN services between London and south west England have been cut back because of an outbreak of Covid-19 at Laira depot in Plymouth.

GWR said the number of cases is ‘significant’, and that it has been forced to reduce its timetable between London, Exeter, Paignton and Plymouth.
