Tanks for the Memories

A Hind or other heavily-armed helo might, but a drone, even a big fucker, can't carry enough payload, not even if you're using a real cunt of an explosive like RDX. Tank-busting is still mainly done w/ artillery or mines, or from substantial airborne platforms, not stuff more suited for delivering Amazon parcels.

.

The Reaper drone can carry Hellfire missiles, eight of them. Eight dead tanks. :)

And Triumph carefully designed the front end of the Stag so that the Rover V8 wouldn’t physically fit.

Now, where’s that British motor industry we used to have, I’m sure it was arround here somewhere.

You COULD squeeze a Rover V8 in, but it really WAS a squeeze, same as with doing the same in a TR7. Some Stag owners didn't mind cut & shutting the front end, as it gave them an engine & transmission that didn't grind to a halt every thousand miles.

Reapers don't come in...what was the word you used?...squadrons. You were obviously talking about the wee fellas, & not the Reaper UAV, or you wouldn't have mentioned "a squadron of drones". :p

Any particular reason why Reapers need be solitary? :)
I didn't actually mention drone size in the PP.

I drove one from Farnham to London once, for a friend. Coming onto the A3 at Ripley, I found myself doing 100+mph without quite realising how.

It was yellow :(

I wanted a Stag from age 17 to about 26. Then I saw a cutaway model of its V8 and thought , fuck that.
I do think a TR7 might be a laugh now...

Go on, it'll be fine...just go for it!

Merde.

Many of the French tanks (particularly the Somua and the Hotchkiss) were much better than their German counterparts. They just didn't use them properly.
That said, there's a definite doctrinal difference with the French 2 and 3 man crews vs. the Germans with their 4 and 5 man crews that allowed the Commander to... command, rather than load and aim the gun while he was at it.

I've had two. They were both reliability nightmares and comically underpowered but that Harris Mann design has undeniable charisma. I put a 2.4 Toyota 22RE with twin Weber DCOE carbs in the second one and it was much better but still not exactly fast.
