Super bowl 50

xslavearcx

time for a nu-metal revival?
Anybody watching?

I took a day holiday for tomorrow to recover without the demands of work. But checked my calendar there and found I've also scheduled an important meeting for tomorrow . . .

To be fair if the panthers are as far ahead as I think they will be by half time there might be no need to endure Coldplay

Unfortunately gotta get up stupidly early tomorrow.. gonna download it and watch it without the ads and h/t shower of shit show.

Just out of interest why the fuck don't they play the game on a Saturday?

TV. Saturday night is a comparatively poor night for TV figures, people go out and do stuff. Most fans want it on the Saturday, so they have time for thehangoverto wear off.
Equivalent to fans over here wanting to preserve Saturday 3pm kickoffs v tv demands then. .

sports Sundays in a lot of teh states is big stuff. SUNDAY IS FOR SPORTS etc etc

church in tha mawnin (if yer knows what's good fer ya) and then sports in the afternoons, with beer

I watch the first bit of this every year, never really much idea what's going on, but thoroughly enjoyable nevertheless. I pick Panthers simply cos their mascot is called Sir Purr

Jackonville have the best mascot in American Football. It will be quite some time before you'll see him in a Superbowl though. As much as i like them they are pants.

Are they only allowed to play for 10 seconds at a time?
Lot's of standing around?

Most of the gaps between plays preceeded tv and radio coverage so an intrinsic part of the game. Although when possession goes from one team to another they can have tv time outs (for ads)

the gaps are already there because of the nature of the game but they are deliberately lengthened so they can fit more adverts in

Doesn't happen for every play though. But yeah it does happen. No ads on sides of pitch or on players tops though

tbh id rather watch adverts than listen to endless shite from the studio as they desperately try to fill time
Definitely. The adverts don't interrupt the flow in the way that the pundits do. I watching this on nfl game pass just now.
