don't think I've ever had lemon and sugar on a pancake or even a crappy crepe.
What do you have then? I can't remember since we did this last year and the year before and the year before.
On Shrove Tuesday? Nothing. I'm not a christian. I don't, and have never, observed Lent although my mum did used to make pancakes around shrove time. I don't believe a lemon has ever been in my parents' house. I have pancakes whenever I feel like it and have had a variety of accoutrements with them. When shrove tuesday comes around I do think ''ooh, I might make some pancakes'' but never do. I occasionally have some in the following couple of weeks.
I had pancakes a little over a week ago. I had them with sausage and fried egg. I resisted putting maple syrup on them.
DON'T LIE! YOU HAD PANCKES LAST YEAR I SAW YOU WITH MY OWN EYES.

I distinctly remember you eating pancakes last shrove tuesday quimmy
You saw me eating crepes. This thread is questioning us about pancakes so I can hardly be blamed for not recalling Stella's evening of shrove crepes.
Are you doing a Danny and talking about drop scones? I wouldn't put lemon and sugar on drop scones, I would spread them with jam. Lemon and sugar on crepes/pancakes though
No. I'm talking about pancakes. YOU are talking about crepes.
IME it works fine, but you often need to add a little extra liquid to it - wholemeal is more absorbent. How about wholemeal flour ?
I am talking about crepes and pancakes (as they are very similar, crepes being lighter and thinner), but not scotch pancakes/drop scones which are a lot thicker
I am talking about pancakes/drop scones which are correct and crepes which are wrong.
