Self-indulgent pet thread

OH painted these - not me! The Charlie figure is supposed to be a fox with a swag bag (presumably of Breeze's toys!) and last night, he came very close to meeting a real live fox when he was out for his evening pee. It was hanging out in the bit of fenced in grass at the end of the road, where Charlie likes to do his thing.

Apparently my snake is throwing a strop about being moved into his new home :D He's splashed loads of water around his vivarium and dragged a sock that I'd worn down my top and then put in there (to get him used to my smell and make me his favourite) through the bowl too. He sits in his hidey cave thing all the time. I'm sad about this so I went to talk to his breeder and she said he's a massive glutton, so I'm defrosting a mouse and hoping that will bribe him into loving me.

Amazing. I never really thought of snakes as having emotional reactions to things at all, so the idea of a snake throwing a strop is astonishing to me!

Well, it's possible they were anthropomorphising a bit with the language! But yeah, he seems to be protesting. I didn't think they were so emotional or had such character either. It's brilliant :) He's a very low maintenance but lovely pet, so far (strops notwithstanding).

Couple snaps of Mal and Griff I meant to post last week. They are currently arguing over a paper bag full of timothy hay. Still pretty lively for two old men! :)

Snake poo reeks :(
I went out for a while with someone who had a python, had to feed it dead chicks which needed warming in the microwave. One day, going in through the front door he could tell it had vomited by the stench.

Wow :D That is horrifying. But top marks for the awfulness:word count ratio

So I needed to clean the bathroom and one of the garden cats was on the bath mat. She's a bit skittish so I left her to it and went to the office to make up the bed and found this. The rest of the garden cats.

Now, there's a real look of alarm on Charlie's face, and frankly I'm not surprised given the size of Breeze in that picture.
Ha ha, I actually captured the moment that Charlie heard the postman opening the gate. He was half way up and ready to run to the door :)
