That is bloody clever. :D

good for you, ger. get in the queu and sign the book.

It's krtek; why bring my old username into the discussion? And what book?

I'm upset that someone who influenced me, in terms of music and being open, has died. You seem to have a problem with people expressing their emotion. Or is just men who cry irk you?

i just find the idea of planning beforehand to get together with your mates to do it a bit odd.

this is still some his edgiest and weird stuff. but also still got 'pop songs' on it. possibly me fave!

Likewise, the favourite here at brogdale acres!
When our lad got his first deck (aged about 15) we 'lent' him his mother's "Low" LP...like you do to try to help them with their broader education...and...he liked it, but left the vinyl lying on his desk in direct sunlight. Mrs B was so devastated to see the record warped that son & heir (secretly) got online to purchase a replacement. Tears were shed...as they have been listening to it today.

He certainly knew what he was talking about:
2002: David Bowie gives the New York Times a prediction about the industry in 2012:

"Music itself is going to become like running water or electricity. So it’s like, just take advantage of these last few years because none of this is ever going to happen again.

"You’d better be prepared for doing a lot of touring because that’s really the only unique situation that’s going to be left. It’s terribly exciting. But on the other hand it doesn’t matter if you think it’s exciting or not; it’s what’s going to happen."

David Bowie played the fame game with dignity and class to the very end

Must admit I had to smile a moment back when one of the Barnsley puddings asked me if it was true that (Ian) Dowie had died?

This is true!

let's not forget bowie in film. Man who fell to earth was perfect casting. Christianne F has him live and the junkies legging thru the shops to the sound of Heroes. And the weird ageing thing in The Hunger. and if you really want to, you can see his willy in the Man Who ...

His juggler hand double had to contort into several uncomfortably close positions in Labyrinth so Bowie shoved potpourri into his pants.
