Was there on Sat night:

Incredible new sound system, crisp thudding of bass, nothing too overly loud and cheap like in most clubs. that was my best memory from the place, the quality of the sound. could be louder though!

great lighting, love the LEDs behind the dj box

love the new feeling of space and the tiered dancing stage, great fun and they have done something effective with the space.

HATE : the drinks!! WTF they put the prices up and reduce the quality of the spirits? not cool man, not cool. had to drink beer cos the vodka and coke was fake vodka and fake coke.

still a tenner in :(

the stobe lighting is so effective I felt like I was in a stop motion film. it will give someone an epileptic fit, its that good!! :D

anyone else been? you reckon the crowd has changed, cos I do. Its less Brixtony and more Claphamy with more groups of people. I kind of like it...but then I think of the funtimes I used to have with plan B crowd.

hoenstly I dont know, im not cool enough. house but with electro going on. some nice bass and breakdowns. it got people dancing and I dont think it was commercial stuff at all. just great music

the flyer is on the website, no idea who the djs are.

funny tho, the spiel on the 'about' page opens with this ''With an exciting new music programme and creative team behind its new look and identity, including Kate Moross (one of London’s most exciting young creatives, and Art Director of We Are Iso), as well as Simian Mobile Disco lighting designer David Cohen, Plan B now features a huge Funktion 1 sound system, increased capacity and 24 hour licence.''

I noticed the influence :) fair play to them

it has some cracking line ups coming up. uk funky/dubstep vibes. apparently the sound system has been retweeked and is sounding BUFF

cos it means the club is fuller and more people are dancing...I cant explain it. it had more groups of people actually there on a night out and having a good time. its different to before

i hope the uk funky nights bring in a better sort than a claphamy crowd. line ups like that and a decent soundsystem should attract a crowd of music fans and keen dancers, not rugger shirted pests who are there to drink and molest women.

But when talking about a good club/vibe/night, Clapham is a pretty poor example. Clapham reeks of rubbish music and even more rubbish peopleoids who own far too many rugby jerseys.

What are its hours?

it seemed to be still going with groups of muddled looking hipsters smoking outside at about 7am or so when i went past on the weekend. an upmarket 414?

We're on the same wavelength Orang.

yeh I dont like going out in Clapham, its full of dbags. What I do like the number of people/age/party vibe. the clubs are shisse

and I dont know how to say this tactfully, but there are more white people, which in itself represents a different sort of club crowd to how plan b was before. better and worse, im not getting into a rcism debate. I just want the best club vibe

this is the line up that impressed me:

don't think i'll make it though as it's the night after bleep43 at corsica

mj cole!! been sincere!!

well I feel a duty to go, the only uk funky nights ive been too are in brum. so glad its down here now!! you know any other good places for it?

kode 9 and zomby are playing next friday (though zomby is infamous for not showing or coming with a mate who djs dnb to a disappointed crowd of fans)

and on 18/12, there's: SKREAM / JOKER / PINCH / COOLY G / IKONIKA / BRICKS LONDON
that's some seriously good music in brixton on saturdays!

course they do. fresh out of uni, move to carpham, collars up, binge drink the night away in packs. wear chinos and brown shoes. stick hair up at front

par for the course

the crowd i saw coming out of there looked far more shoreditchy than clapham tbf

good. i like that kind of crowd better. they actually seem to like music, unless it's the kind of shoreditch crowd that you get in the t-bar
