Recommend me a mattress

Bought a second Emma for one of the other rooms and a pair of Emma pillows which I must say are the bees knees .

In the end I bought an Eve Premium Hybrid. I needed one quickly, it's the top choice on Which, and the delivery timescale was 5-10 days. It actually came in 3 and I'm extremely happy with it so far. Just the right blend of comfy and supportive, and not so far hot.

It is heavy though - rotating it on a bed with a head and footboard is going to be interesting.

The Which results were interesting. It seems you can spend almost any amount and get a decent mattress. For some things I've found they only recommend the most expensive versions because the cheap ones are all crap but for mattresses they have quite a lot of best buys across the board.

So we're in the market for a new mattress and looks like Emma is getting the thumbs up all round.

Sale on so 55% off.

£989 instead of £2198.

Or is it an MFI style perma sale?
Yeah take sales with a pinch of salt and some freshly ground black pepper.

I've been quite taken of late with the Dormeo advert for their Octaspring mattress toppers (they are having a sale, which makes it look marginally affordable for a king size topper).

However I've looked into it, and you're not supposed to use memory foam mattresses or mattress toppers with hot water bottles - because direct heat on the foam can cause the foam to degrade and it can release smelly fumes.

I am wedded to my hot water bottle winter routine, I cannot (as per the advice) "turn your heating up by 1 degree instead of using an electric blanket or hot water bottle", because I don't have my heating on, like ever, and I fucking love hot water bottles.

Any ideas for affordable non-memory foam hypoallergenic no down or wool mattresses or toppers?

I was going to say the IKEA one was nice, but they only sell foam and latex now. They used to have one called the Sultan that was lush. Maybe I should have tried to clean the mould off ours instead of binning it. :(
Edit: It wasn't a Sultan. But it was at least an inch and a half thick and they don't make it any more. I think the Tustna is the closest thing - fabric covered and wool and latex filled.

My hybrid memory foam and sprung mattress doesn't say don't use an electric blanket, it just says put something between them.
