Recommend a fastish estate

It's a good, solid car - it's just that the Mondeo was a much more fun, spirited drive - you don't notice it on motorways or taking the kids to school, but on fast, fun A roads it's much less fun than the Mighty M, and on very windy, hilly roads the control/precision difference is noticable.

The new Mondeo's -17(?) plate onwards - were less fun than the older ones, so the difference between a 15 plate M and an Avensis would be frightening....

I really liked my Mk3 before it's unfortunate accident with a wall. Probably get a Mk4 hatchback next as you get a better car for the same money then estates sadly.

It looks like a toboggan is having angry sex with that car.

It's still a shit estate - dog cage? No. Fridge freezer? No. Sofa? No.

It's just a hatchback, but I'm sure it's perfectly fine for hairdressers and estate agents....

Ferrari never get it quite right when the engine gets stuck at the front. Pretty darn ugly.

Not going into production with the 928 "H50" was, along with the 989, a huge missed opportunity for Porsche that it took them decades to correct with the Panamera.

I’m considering downsizing from my stretched defender ambulance conversion to something a bit less expensive on the Gallons per mile

Is there an estate that will happily eat a 9’2 surf board without having to rest the nose on the dashboard, otherwise it’s a small tranny type van for me

Looking for modern comfort and a bit of power, not utterly gutless.

Someone suggested grand jeep Cherokee :(

Or a ford galaxy.

I hired a VW Golf estate in Germany (because they had few other options left) and I totally floored it on the autobahn. I wasn't used to speedos in kms, so it wasn't until afterwards when I did the conversion that I realised I'd been doing 100+mph, maybe 110-115 iirc. :D
