Aaaaargh I thought this was next weekend for some reason :confused: :(

Gonna have to try and persuade the mrs in the morning that the essential shopping we've been putting off for weeks has gotta play second fiddle. Again :D

Any news on the location? the flyers said the websites would have info from a few days before but they all still say the same.

I'm considering going there later in the afternoon for the workshops, 'cos I can't make the party.
Plus I think it'll be a very good thing for as many people to be in the building from as early as possible....

Heading up there very shortly. I may have to go away again for part of the early evening but will assuredly be back for the party stuff later on :)

I was expecting an epic trek out to slough or some other shitty satellite town

Looks like it's been secured, the police were there, just keeping an eye on things outside, but seemed to be ok with it. There was even a fire inspection so it's looking good. Like I said the venue is quite big, lots of rooms and space outside too, and the toilets are in good condition :)
 
Nope, venue is on the main road but it's hard to tell there's anything going on, apart from the gates, which was being very well managed by the organisers. I was so impressed I persuaded my mum to boysit (was planning on a night in tonight, but it's too near home to pass!)

Cool - and the police are just hanging around, not conducted free body searches or anything?

There were no searches, but it was daytime and there kids around, it was all very chilled, don't imagine it might be so relaxed later...

So, anyone thinking of bringing stuff, just be careful, because they will be around, keeping an eye on things and might search people, just bring enough for personal use innit? ;)
