Some Olympic standard virtue signalling going on :D

How many more days of vox popping does the BBC do before some auld Edna and Bert are found expired on their deckchairs, daily mail Queens funeral supplements in their laps

What about Ed Sheeran in a box? Could I go to see that?
I don't believe that Mr Sheeran is yet deceased but perhaps you'll get the chance one day. Whilst I myself am not his biggest fan (though I do like some of his stuff) I am interested to note that so many people seem to think going one of his concerts is as dull as standing alongside the banks of Thames for 30 hrs for a chance to get a 5 second glimpse of a box with a flag and a sparkly hat on top of it.
Though not the fan that Pollyanna is, Son Q did claim that the concert (which was around the end of June/beginning of July IIRC) was in fact very enjoyable.

My mate is going with her fairly elderly Mum. They’re getting the 10:45pm train from Leeds tonight to join the hopefully temporarily shorter queue at 1am, queue overnight to see Her Maj hopefully tomorrow.

I think they’re insane.
Didn't Leeds offer the opportunity to file past the coffin of Jimmy Saville in that big hotel by the main station? I'm sure I didn't dream that...

Yes, he was revered in Leeds before it became widely known he was a rapist nonce. There used to be plaques up commemorating him at the LGI. There was later a dedicated police interview room during the very long enquiry into his crimes. At the LGI.

Yes. It was a gold coffin. I don't believe it caused a queue though. I saw it. From the street, I must add. It was in a sort of lobby.

There was going to be a rail strike today I believe, Another reason why cancelling it might not have been a good idea.

I'm so loving the feed.
The background noise (I have it on at the moment while I work) is quite relaxing.

Every now and then I check in to see the faces of people who have queued for up to 30 hours and how productively they will use their big moment in front of the box.

It's Brilliant TV!

I wouldn't watch it on tv if my (fictional) partner wanted to watch it. There is always something to find on the internet while they watch it.

I can’t think of anything either of us would queue for hours for and definitely not the royals apart from the years we spent in long queues to get into Glastonbury.

Maybe meeting Taylor Swift or something.

I do know that he’d be much for likely to do that for me than I would for him as he’s much nicer than me.

Have there been any reports of people waiting in the queue then selling off their spot near the front?

Might get some hilarious reactions from people outraged by the undermining of the spirit of the Great British Queue.

Mrs o87 feels its very important that people watch the funeral as its a very historical moment. My step dad agrees.

Me and my Mum are going to the pub.
:D
My Mr's is off away with her daughters for some girly time and staying in Derbyshire overnight on the Monday.

I will be hammering slates into my roof waiting for someone to tut at me for doing so in the Welsh village I live in.

Then we'll see who is worthy of the slate of Glyndwr ;)

Jacob Rees Mogg just went through with a few smallish children, I assume his own.

Quick nod of the head, no more than that. Looked a bit shifty.
