For Starmer, you mean?
For anyone who wants it and is old or ill enough to make a good case, I hope.
For Starmer, you mean?
They are no longer going to lose their charitable status, but they are going to have to put VAT on fees. Are you sure he's not gone back on the fee-paying schools stuff already? He has on some of it.
As far as Starmer goes, I can think of loads who want it and I'm sure they can make a good case. For anyone who wants it and is old or ill enough to make a good case, I hope.
Have we already listed assisted dying in here? Starmer has promised a free vote in the next parliament.
So overdue.
Whilst I fully support Right-To-Choose and assisted dying, I'm pretty sure Starmer is going for the Canadian model where disabled people choose to die rather than live in poverty than the more European model.
Are Canadians being driven to assisted suicide by poverty or healthcare crisis?

Ever the optomist, eh.The Canada article is sensationalist bollocks, people with severe chronic illnesses deserve the right to die without excessive gatekeeping, and Kendall is in the unfortunate position of having to triangulate between nice and nasty voters, but quite clearly people who are unable to work will continue to live on benefits, and will do so somewhat more safely under Labour than the Tories.
I don’t see any connection at all, I’m afraid.
I think that can safely be assumed to be ‘everything else’Surely it would only be fair to also have a Negatives About The Next Labour Government thread
Considering how much I am despised on here
Um...4...oh yeah her...We've had five Prime Ministers in the last eight years, and yet some still aren't satisfied.
I for one won't be satisfied until we've been 8 years without a prime ministerWe've had five Prime Ministers in the last eight years, and yet some still aren't satisfied.
we gotta at least beat 652 daysI for one won't be satisfied until we've been 8 years without a prime minister

With the staff who are often nhs staff at other times in the weekAh that famous spare capacity in the Private system that isn't taken from NHS staff at all.

I agree: or it might get even worse. Suspect Starmer knows this hence accelerated purge against the LeftThings will go from really shite to only just awful.
I think a Starmer government will actually do a lot of damage to the "perceived left" and just re-enforce the idea that (certainly in England) there aren't many realistic options for left/progressive voters, leading to more disengagement and voter apathy.
Hopefully assisted dying?Should make the fat pig contribute to medical research by taking part in medical trials.
They will do the cuts for sureThere was some stuff about getting rid of zero hour contracts, fire and rehire, some other employment stuff.
The "green new deal" lost it's £28 billion a year promise, but there is still some stuff in there maybe.
But.. you know. I have no faith they will do any of it.
Under promise, deliver even less…Under promise, over deliver.
