Im surprised people are unaware of coleslaw and pizza. Coleslaw is served in most pizza restaurants. Indeed that tub came with my pizza order last night. It’s described as a “side”, but practically speaking, unless your table is huge, it’s you know, going on top.
Same with chips. Round these parts pizzas are sold by people who also sell chips. It didn’t take long for customers to realise the combination was ace. I’ve known about it all my life. (I’m 55. These are all my own teeth). Double carb. It’s a thing. Like macaroni pie. Black bun (fruit cake pie). Chip roll.
The culinary norms on these boards are depressing.

I was in a very good pizzeria in Naples recently, and the girl beside me was eating apizza with a portion of french fries dumped on top of them. I was surprised.

A margherita in the same place was 3.5 Euro and a large (660ml) bottle of Peroni 2.5 Euro.

I didn’t have any beetroot, which is why I used a picked onion. But hopefully you remembered the beetroot?
