Pizza

Made this grilled eggplant and olive (and carmelized onion and anchovy) pizza tonight:

From a recipe from Smitten Kitchen. Tastes great, but I wish I had rolled the dough out more thinly. Thin crust would have suited this much better.

edited because dayum that was a big picture

I do not normally go for aubergine but that does look and sound lovely

^Looking good kb

We had a pizza party last night for the 12 year old's birthday. The boys all went for the 'shitloads of meat' option. Me and the Mrs had a margherita with a bit of chilli, capers, olives and Tuna steak. It was lush.

i had a load of pizza dough left over, but no tomatoes or mozzerella, so i'm attempting a pizzaladiere - caramelised onions & garlic instead of a tomato base, topped with anchovies. i found some parmesan in the fridge too, so some of that went on...

Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain’s pizza wisdom astounds us all....

The more toppings a man has on his pizza, I believe the more manly he is. Because the more manly man is not afraid of abundance. A manly man don’t want it piled high with vegetables! A real man would dismiss any pizza contaminated with vegetables as a sissy pizza.

:D

I now haven't had a pizza since Saturday lunchtime, this needs sorting, urgently.

What are your favourite toppings for a breakfast based pizza folks ?

Tricky.
Normally my breakfast based pizza is the night before pizza.
The last one I had was Pepperoni, Ham, Beef, Bacon, Garlic Sausage & Salami with garlic/herb dip and a bottle of Encona.

I guess you could go for bacon, mushroom, tomato and sausage (some places do egg) if you wanted to keep it breakfast?

My dilemma is that I never knowingly leave pizza from the night before, it just NEVER happens unless a few (or more) drinks have been taken and I wake up face down in the remnants of a meat-feast.

I'm thinking of going for some sort of scrambled egg pizza, possibly with some smoked salmon that's sitting in the fridge. Would a horseradish base be ott ? or maybe I should just add it to the scrambled egg ?
